Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
What Ridge and the rest of the Forrester Creations crew have done to Eric Forrester is proverbially a crime, but literally heartless and cruel. Who tells a man that he has to retire and that is that, especially the man who started the company and still owns the company? Oh, that's right, Ridge. Ridge tells a man that because that's just par for the course with Ridge. Do we expect anything less ever? Sure, Ridge gave an impassioned speech proclaiming his need for Eric to retire was out of a deep and abiding love, but it just felt like Ridge wanted Eric out of the way and to be in control. We still have no idea why everyone is using Eric's 2023 near-fatal illness as an excuse to force retirement, considering that Eric had a blood disease that had nothing to do with being overworked. Eric gave in to Ridge's demands WAY too easily when even Steffy noticed he had so many more designs left in him. If we were Eric, we'd take those designs and get them manufactured ourselves. He has enough contacts after decades in the business to have those gowns on the runway in record time. Now that would be the kind of story The Bold and the Beautiful should tell in 2026. Eric Forrester himself starting a new fashion house.
