Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Let's talk about Eric because that's just about what everyone did on the December 9, 2025, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. Eric and Donna talked about Eric, of course. But so did Brooke and Ridge, and even Deacon and Sheila. Sheila recalled her days as Eric's wife and admitted that she still has a soft spot for him. But Eric was the man of the day. Nobody could stop talking about how forcing a man to retire without even telling him first was really a good idea, no matter how he felt about it. Even Hope and Liam got in on the act when they had a wedding to plan for the very next day. Sure, they discussed their wedding a bit, but the main topic was Eric, of course. Even the newspapers ran stories about the retirement that Eric knew nothing about. Because that is what you do to make a man's forced retirement palatable to him. Even when Brooke questioned if Ridge might have jumped the gun, he insisted he was doing the right thing. In Ridge's mind, Ridge is never wrong, so why should this time be different? Maybe if everyone has to talk about Eric's retirement so much, then it isn't a good thing after all. We doubt Ridge will ever actually see that.
