Welcome to the The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

Eric's obsession with making sure Brooke and Ridge end up together is becoming disturbing at this point. This man has been married to Brooke multiple times (although not as often as his son), and they share two children together. Whenever Eric begins one of his lectures about how Brooke is Ridge's destiny, it's more than a little bit creepy. It feels like Eric is living vicariously through Ridge, and that Donna is just a replacement for her sister. That's exactly what it felt like during Eric's latest impassioned speech on July 24th. He was determined to make sure that Ridge uses the Italy trip to reunite with Brooke, just as he did when he saw her through the Keyhole of Destiny two years ago. For some reason, Eric thinks that Brooke and Ridge have been on a wonderful journey for decades. Yes, one filled with cheating, heartache, multiple marriages and children with others, and multiple marriages with each other. So wonderful, indeed. But Eric just kept pushing it as he has been for months, forgetting all about the woman who is engaged to Ridge and living in Eric's house. Eric's lectures are disrespectful to her and everyone else involved with this story. It's up to Brooke, Ridge, and Taylor to figure their own way out of this mess, so Eric needs to sit down and zip it.
