The Bold and the Beautiful Daily YAPP Recap, November 4: Can Brooke (or anyone) just mind their own business?

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Aside from inappropriate/semi-incestual romances, one true thing about The Bold and the Beautiful is that absolutely nobody can stop talking about somebody else's love life. Entire episodes are devoted to characters standing around repeating expository dialogue, recapping another character's love life. They often do this in a shocked and appalled tone, just as Brooke did today when she just had to waste precious time with Ridge talking about Deacon's love life. She can't believe that Sheila kept such secrets from him, and he is not divorcing her immediately. Brooke is so concerned about her ex that it's all she could think about until Ridge tried to talk about anyone or anything else. But why is this Brooke's business? Deacon and Sheila are entitled to their own lives and to make their own mistakes. And if Deacon feels like forgiving his own wife, then let him. This has nothing to do with Brooke's life, so she needs to just leave well enough alone. If only Ridge knew how close Taylor came to taking Sheila's place in Deacon's life. That would have sent Ridge running back to Taylor in a heartbeat, cause he always wants what he can't have. Brooke should both mind her own business and be glad that Deacon went back to his wife or she would have some trouble on her hands.
