The Bold and the Beautiful Daily YAPP Recap, October 2: 'Cope' is done, Carter moves on, but someone explain that dance

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Welp, that's over. One of the most ill-conceived couples we have ever seen in more than four decades of watching soaps is done in an instant. Carter went from begging Hope to elope with him at the start of the 23 minutes of programming to making goo-goo eyes at Daphne by the end. Out with the old, in with The Nose, right? Just another day for Carter Walton, but what we really want to know is why the big daddy-daughter dance was in Brooke's living room. This was the second living room daddy-daughter dance that Liam attended this year, the first one being with his other blonde cherub, Kelly. At least that time, he had missed the actual dance due to brain surgery, so Steffy helped him throw a makeshift dance at home, but why was this one in the living room, complete with balloons and music? They didn't even talk about getting ready to leave soon. We get that the setup was for Hope to realize she wanted her family back, but could The Bold and the Beautiful come up with a better idea than yet another living room dance for Liam to attend? The whole thing just seemed silly, especially with the days' long buildup to an event at home. The best thing we can say about the whole scenario is that at least Beth looked smashing.
