What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
We're ready to sing that old Debbie Reynolds song again with Carter in mind. He may not be Tammy, but: "Carter, Carter, Carter's in love." But hey, this time, Carter, the man who moves from fiancé to fiancé faster than a Maserati, actually did some reflecting between breaking off his engagement with Hope and choosing Daphne, who has been ready and waiting for months — on two different continents, no less. During his reflection period, Carter realized he had felt the need to play hero in his other relationships and chose a person who needed him rather than wanted him. But Daphne was a woman who wanted him, something different for Carter's always addled love life. But wait, there's more. Carter could finally be honest. It turns out he's had a thing for Daphne all along. From the moment she sauntered into Eric's office, Carter was hooked, and all it took was a wiff. There was just something about Daphne that caught his eye (and his nose). Hope? Hope, who? Oh, that's right. It turned out that he didn't want Hope and only Hope. He wanted Daphne, too, but he had to pretend. Now that Hope was a thing of the past, Carter was free to feel his feelings. So much for Carter's last great romance. Daphne, don't get too comfortable.
