The Bold and the Beautiful Daily YAPP Recap, October 3: Once again, Will is the victim

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

It seems that we need to repeat this at least once a week (at least!). Will did not sleep with Luna. Will was raped by Luna. She climbed into bed with a man she essentially drugged and had sex with him while he had no clue what was really going on. He could not consent and did not consent — and Luna did what she did with intent. Yet, nobody in Will's orbit is willing to admit this very clear fact. In fact, Electra talks about what Will "did." Well, we have news for Electra. Will didn't "do" anything. He was the victim. He did not cheat (thank you, Ivy, for pointing that out), and he did not willingly have sex with Luna. But everyone is just going to continue saying that Luna took advantage of Will when that doesn't even begin to cover what happened. It's both frustrating and maddening because The Bold and the Beautiful keeps doing stories like this while refusing to acknowledge what appears on screen. And now we have to watch Luna walk around with her deranged grin, rubbing her flat tummy, while talking about this child created from love. It's creepy and just makes how wrong this story is even more wrong. Hopefully, the show realizes what it wrote and what the audience saw. Then, maybe we will see this issue with some honesty sooner rather than later.
