Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What was the point of Thomas returning to The Bold and the Beautiful if the show was just going to forget all about his final year on the show before leaving Los Angeles? During that time, Thomas seemed like the poster child for therapy. He felt deep regret at using that deep fake recording against Brooke, hated what it did to his parents, and got the help he so desperately needed. He spent some time away from work, and when he returned, he was a new man — even a man whom Hope could fall for. But now it's like none of that ever happened. Brooke and Ridge were happily together for months while Thomas romanced Hope and showed her that he really was a good man deep down. Brooke even came to accept Thomas with Hope, and they'd forged some sort of tepid truce before he left town with Douglas. Now, Thomas is acting like his old self, and it makes no sense. Where's the character growth? Where is the man whom any woman would have wanted in both 2023 and 2024? He's certainly not the man so obsessed with his parents' love life that he viciously attacked Brooke for no real reason. When we learned Matthew Atkinson was returning as Thomas, we longed to see him in scenes with Hope. So far, that hasn't happened, and we're sure glad she wasn't the one who walked in on Thomas man-handling his old-new stepmother.
