The Bold and the Beautiful Daily YAPP Recap, September 3: Thomas did the right thing...and the wrong thing

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

For the last year, The Bold and the Beautiful fans have wondered if Thomas had married Paris. We didn't hear from him or about him in all that time, but finally we know. Thomas broke things off, and quite recently, too. When we heard Grace Buckingham on the phone with Paris, telling her she was taking care of things, we wondered how Thomas would feel about his future mother-in-law breaking Hope's heart by letting Liam believe he was dying. Apparently, he didn't take too kindly to it. So, Thomas was right to end things. However, he is wrong about his attitude toward his father. As Katie pointed out to Brooke, both Thomas and Steffy are adults, and they have no right to dictate who their father is or is not with. They also need to get over this need for their parents to be together. Couples often divorce, and grown children are typically okay with this. Thomas using his own heartache as an excuse to convince Ridge not to dump Taylor, was all sorts of wrong. Yes, it's a shame that Ridge is inevitably going to hurt Taylor again and he never should have accepted her proposal. But the fact remains that what happens between Ridge and Taylor is none of their adult kids' business. The sooner both Steffy and Thomas learn this, the better.
