This week's episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful had several potential candidates to take the mantle of Performer of the Week, but ultimately, it came down to two. Although Heather Tom's scenes always carry emotional weight like the powerhouse she is, Christian Weissman's portrayal as Remy, crumbling under the pressure of his past, edged her out. In just one week, he transformed the character from a disposable side character to a genuinely sympathetic lead.
The Bold and the Beautiful, Christian Weissmann, Performer of the Week

Remy's earlier portrayals mainly showed him tormenting Electra and befriending the deliciously deranged Luna. However, when he reappeared as Deke's boyfriend, viewers finally saw a more layered, emotionally pained character. Weissmann's performance as Remy reached new heights this week. He walked into the lion's den and offered himself as a sacrificial lamb to Electra, Will, and everyone holding grudges. Despite knowing they hated him, Remy wanted to support his greatest love, revealing his internal struggle. He willingly faced hostility for love. Call it delusional, but Weissmann's gaze as Remy met Electra's showed a shift from obsessive tormentor to someone undeniably tormented himself. It became impossible to see him only as her stalker.
Weissman gave Remy a new balance between a broken-down martyr and long-overdue honesty. Remy existed in previous episodes as a plot device to further establish Electra and Will as a couple. That shifted this week. For the first time, Remy became an undeniable character. He remained unpredictable but had a new sympathetic streak. The moment was a surprise since it didn't seem like Remy would ever break out of the background. With performances like Weissman's this week, the momentum has the potential to propel him even further into the spotlight. The newfound remorse was compelling enough to doubt him as a villain. Instead, it sold the story of a morally conflicted and closeted young man, desperate for someone to love him.
The show must capitalize on Weissmann's acting skills and continue writing him into this new role. There is great potential, but they need to keep him a compelling anti-hero and resist turning him into a cartoon villain, like Luna, who now seems unsalvageable as a character.
Remy's friendship with Luna will make or break him

The only thing that not even Weissman's/Remy's newfound sympathy with viewers can help overlook is the character's ongoing connection to Luna. It's doubtful that Deke is aware of Remy and Luna's friendship, so if he catches wind of their recent communication, it could serve as another strike against him. Deke already asked for time to process everything, leaving their relationship in limbo, and considering Luna murdered Deke's father's close friends, he won't be that forgiving.
Luna and Remy’s friendship is defined by a deep understanding of each other's motivations, which makes their dynamic both compelling and potentially dangerous. Remy understands Luna's interest in Will Spencer despite his warnings, just as Luna recognizes Remy's desire to redeem himself with Electra, even while cautioning him against it. Their insight into one another’s drives could play a pivotal role if Remy decides to use it, for example, by distancing himself from Luna to repair his relationships with Deke and Electra. Thus, their mutual understanding is both their strength and a potential source of conflict.
This dynamic becomes even more promising when considering Weissman's impact. He may have only been in the mix on The Bold and the Beautiful since late last year, and most of that was relegated to the Electra stalker story, but he has the chops to take the character to bigger and better things. If he can move the audience with just a few scenes, there's no telling what he could do with a longer story arc with more front-burner scenes.
