Liam may be the one who is dying on The Bold and the Beautiful, but that doesn't mean his loved ones are not going through it as they deal with his diagnosis. Over the last month, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood has put in outstanding performance after outstanding performance. The story hit a milestone moment when Steffy finally told Hope the truth about their mutual ex-husband, earning MacInnes Wood Soap Central performer of the week accolades.
The Bold and the Beautiful gives us a tearjerker

It's hard enough for us to believe that Liam (Scott Clifton) is really going to die, but Steffy is having a harder time than anyone. Not only did she have to learn this news after finding Liam unconscious outside Bill's (Don Diamont) house, but she's had to keep it to herself for weeks while trying to pretend to the world that everything is okay.
Steffy knew that Hope couldn't be left in the dark any longer, especially with Liam's condition deteriorating, so she took it upon herself to tell her. Whether Steffy was right or wrong to betray Liam's wishes is debatable, but the fact that MacInnes Wood broke our hearts when she did so is not.
It had to be awkward for Steffy to walk into Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) living room to see Hope (Annika Noelle) after all that had happened between them the last few months (or even years), but MacInnes Wood showed us her character's bravery and determination before Steffy melted into a puddle of tears.
Steffy's heartbreak breaks our hearts

MacInnes Wood showed Steffy's maturity and anguish as she explained to Hope that she wasn't there to chastise her or to talk about business. She was there because death and dying can put life in perspective and teach us when we are being petty.
Our hearts bled for both women as they sobbed over the idea of losing Liam and their little girls growing up without their doting dad, but for Steffy, we also saw relief thanks to MacInnes Wood's gut-wrenching performance. After all these weeks, she could finally talk about this with the only other person who could truly understand her anguish.
We expect to see more outstanding performances as this story plays out from all the actors involved, but this past week, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood had us all feeling for Steffy as she navigates her new reality.
