Ridge stood in Eric's living room with Brooke on his mind. He remembered Brooke on the gondola in Portofino, and Eric's words declaring Brooke to be Ridge's destiny. Ridge also remembered Brooke coming down the runway the night before.

Taylor soon descended the stairs and congratulated Ridge on another successful show. "I love to see you bask in the glow," she said. Ridge took Taylor in his arms to try to forget about Brooke.

Steffy walked in acting like she didn't just learn Liam was dying. She had just spoken to Katie and was thrilled that the pre-sales were going so well. Steffy noted that the feedback on the show was nostalgic, so Ridge insisted it was just business. "Aren't you and Brooke being called the first couple of fashion?" Taylor asked. Ridge made excuses for the press. "It would never change how I feel about you," he said, unconvincingly.

After Ridge left for work, Steffy asked Taylor how she was doing. She could tell that her mother was concerned about how Ridge looked at Brooke. Taylor told Steffy she was not an insecure person. "But I'm also not naive," she said. Taylor knew her relationship with Ridge was at risk, but she wasn't going to let Brooke worm her way back into Ridge's life again.

In Brooke's living room, Katie and Eric went on and on about the fashion show and how amazing Brooke looked in that "iconic Portofino gown." Katie congratulated Eric on a job well done after he made sure Brooke modeled the showstopper. "Hopefully, it did the trick and you two will be back together in no time," Eric said.

Katie and Brooke once again told Eric how amazing he was, so he returned the compliment to his sisters-in-law before telling them that he had to head to work. "I want to hear what Ridge has to say after seeing you in the surprise showstopper," Eric admitted.

Once Brooke and Katie were alone, all Katie could do was brag about all the positive social media that the fashion show received. "I'm really talking about the posts about you and Ridge," Katie admitted. Brooke conceded that "it was very positive, the way he looked at me on the runway." She was hopeful despite the fact that Ridge went home with Taylor.

"I think you need to prepare yourself that things are going to change," Katie told her sister. "When the two of you locked eyes, it was extraordinary," she added. Brooke was also pleased. "I have to say that when Ridge looked at me after all this time that we've been apart, it was pure magic," Brooke confessed. Katie pointed out that was how the audience saw it.

Brooke was also realistic. "Taylor isn't going to give up. She made that very clear when we were locked in the vault together," Brooke sighed. Katie didn't care. After the runway moment, Katie was sure that Ridge was thisclose to returning to Brooke.

At Forrester Creations, Carter breathed in a whiff of Daphne's perfume just as Daphne approached. "The fragrances were a perfect complement to the couture line. That was all you," Carter praised. Daphne insisted that Carter was responsible for the success of the fashion show.

"It's clear that your expansion idea was instrumental to the success of the show. I am so happy to be a part of your vision now and into the future," Daphne gushed. Carter told Daphne that he appreciated her reminding him to listen to his gut. "We have to focus on the future and what you and I can build together," Daphne said as Zende lurked just outside the door.

Zende let his presence be known before telling Carter that Will was looking for him. Carter left to see Will, so Zende had a few moments alone with Daphne. "What did I just witness? It looked a lot like you moving in to kiss Carter," Zende accused. "Daphne, do you actually have feelings for Carter?" he asked.

Daphne admitted that her feelings surprised her. "That's not something I do. Fall for a guy," she said. Then, Zende gave away the game with Katie lurking and listening.

"I am painfully aware of why you came to L.A. I know all about your plot with Steffy to break up Hope and Carter," he said. Daphne admitted that she genuinely cared for Carter. Zende promised not to tell Carter why she really came to Los Angeles, but warned Daphne to be careful. "If this gets out, it will affect more than just you and Carter," Zende said.

When Zende walked away, Katie approached and asked what was in her perfume. "It must be like making a potion. Something used to manipulate someone. Someone like Carter Walton," she smirked.

Later, Eric found Ridge in his office creating more designs. Ridge asked Eric to close the door so he could have a word with his father. "I want to ask you about this showstopper stunt you pulled," Ridge said as Eric grinned. Ridge did not like being blindsided.

Eric claimed he saw "awe, admiration, and love" when Ridge saw Brooke in that gown. "It was the right thing to do, and I'd do it again," Eric insisted, but Ridge was still annoyed. Eric didn't care. "You didn't just see a woman in a showstopper. You saw what's in your heart," Eric declared.

Ridge told Eric that he had made a commitment to Taylor and had no plans to let her down. "I hurt this woman so much in her whole life. I'm not going to do it anymore," Ridge insisted. Eric admitted he admired Ridge's commitment to Taylor, but she wasn't Brooke.

"And I am glad for that. Because she's never let me down. She's never betrayed me," Ridge shouted. Eric argued back. "Brooke's heart was broken, too. You have to take responsibility for that," Eric declared, before reminding Ridge that Brooke was ready to forgive him. "You cannot deny that your future is with Brooke," Eric added.
