The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, August 13, 2025: Nick proposes, while Ridge struggles

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

In the CEOs office, Brooke recounted how Ridge saved her life to Eric, Donna, and Katie. Ridge flashed back to being on the boat with Brooke and telling her that he was going to make things right between them. They talked about Liam and how Grace scammed him, and were just grateful he was going to be okay. Ridge said he had somewhere to be, and Brooke asked if he meant there was someone he had to see.

After Ridge left, Brooke told Eric and her sisters that something had happened with Ridge while they were in Italy. Katie wanted to talk shop, but Brooke was distracted. Eric told her to give Ridge a little more time and it would all work out, then he and Donna left.

Once alone, Katie told Brooke how glad she was okay. Nick walked in and said he wanted to check on Brooke and make sure she was alright. “I also wanted to clear some things up,” he added. Katie gave them some time alone and left the office.

Nick felt horrible about the accident, but Brooke told him it wasn’t his fault. Nick said the important thing was that Brooke was okay. Nick told Brooke he didn’t go to the hospital so he wouldn’t cause a scene with Ridge, but had sent Tomas to check in on her and report back instead.

Nick offered to leave L.A. now that he knew she was okay. Brooke assured him that Ridge wasn’t at the office, and Nick ranted about how Ridge was already with Taylor. Nick implied there was something he had planned on the boat before it went awry, so Brooke asked what it was. Nick pulled out the engagement ring and told Brooke that he loved her. “I love you, too!” Brooke cried.

At the Forrester mansion, Taylor did Kelly’s hair, and then she told her that she wanted to design her dress. Ridge came home, was happy to see Kelly, and kissed Taylor hello. He said that Italy was almost as beautiful as his “two favorite girls.” “You should take Grandma there on your honeymoon,” Kelly told him.

Taylor told them that she hoped they could go to St. Thomas instead and told Kelly about their beginning and the first trip they had there. Ridge watched with a smile as Taylor recounted how she found her ring in a treasure chest in the sand that Ridge had buried. Kelly loved the story and encouraged Ridge to choose St. Thomas as their honeymoon destination.

After Kelly left the room, Taylor noted that Ridge saved Brooke’s life. Ridge told her about the trip and the fashion show, and said it was a success until Nick showed up. Ridge lamented that Nick knew it was a business trip but wanted to take Brooke out on a boat. With flashbacks, he narrated the accident.

When Taylor wanted to talk about Ridge’s feelings about saving Brooke, he pivoted and talked about her and Kelly. Taylor told Ridge that while he was away, she started planning their wedding.

Taylor noted that Ridge seemed surprised, but thought it was a natural next step. Ridge’s smile faded. “I can see you’re struggling,” Taylor said. Ridge told her that he thought Brooke had died right in front o him. Taylor agreed that such a profound moment can have an impact, and Ridge said she had no idea. “I understand, but please, Ridge, don’t let Brooke use this,” she pleaded. Taylor reminded him that he promised it would move on from the unhealthy cycles with Brooke, adding that she was probably using Nick as a bargaining chip as well.

“You are so much better than being manipulated than that. You deserve a life with someone who loves you and respects you,” Taylor told Ridge, with zero irony. She reminded him of the time she asked him in St. Thomas why he wanted to marry him. “You said I was the most important woman in your life. The only woman. And that you loved me. I love you, Ridge, as much as I did that day, maybe more,” Taylor gushed. Ridge told her that he loved her, too. Kelly interrupted and teased them about being mushy, and then hugged Ridge as she said she was looking forward to their wedding. Ridge looked conflicted.

In the design office, Will and Electra talked about Brooke and Liam and were glad they were okay. Will told Electra that she could talk to him about the stuff she went through with Remy. She admitted she was still struggling with it all. Will consoled her and said that he understood that she was processing and could take all the time she needed.

Electra told Will it was hard to be back on social media after the deep fake incidents, but she found a way through it. She said it made her more cautious about some things, but also more confident in her relationship with Will. However, she asked him to wait for sex. Will assured her there was no pressure or rush, but his expression suggested he was disappointed when he hugged her.
