What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

At the CEO’s office, Brooke, Taylor, and Ridge talked about Italy, and Ridge said if they had to cancel the trip, they would. Katie and Will burst in, claiming they had incredible news from Bill. They announced that Liam had life-saving surgery and he was going to live.
Will was hopeful that he could get the chance to hang out more with his big brother. Everyone was excited, and Taylor wanted to call the hospital for more information. Ridge encouraged her to call, and said they needed to thank people.
Ridge ranted to Will that his dad’s “bonehead” decision to release Luna put Ridge’s daughter in danger. Will thought Bill felt guilty but was off to a good start in redeeming himself by saving Liam. Taylor said she reached out to a contact at the hospital, but all she could find out about Liam was that Grace was the one who discharged him.
The group went back to talking about how much Liam had to live for and were all grateful he survived the gunshot and wasn’t going to die from the mass, either.
Across the hall in the design office, Ivy was deep in thought. She shared with Electra that she was questioning everything. She said he was there for her at the lowest point of her life, and knowing his life was going to be cut short made her realize how much she missed him all those years.
Ivy recalled her romance with Liam and said he had been the best boyfriend she had ever had. She and Liam had a moment a while ago at Il Giardino, before he was sick. She admitted she often wondered if they could have had another chance, and said it was one of the reasons she came back to L.A. Now she had to say goodbye.
Electra soothed Ivy by reminding her that they can’t change Liam’s fate. Ivy explained that she wished she could have been there for Liam and supported him through his health crisis, but she didn’t know about it. Electra told her aunt that there was still time for that. Electra understood Ivy’s deep feelings, lamenting that Liam was too young to die, as Will felt the same way.
Over at the hospital, Bridget went to Grace’s office to ask about Liam’s discharge and wondered why she would sign off on it. Grace wouldn’t answer any of Bridget’s questions and dismissed her when she took a call.
At the Spencer mansion, Bill told Liam he gave the good news to Will. Liam cried as Steffy and Hope reiterated he was going to live. Liam wanted to see his daughters, now that he could look at them knowing he wasn’t going to leave them. Hope said she would get the nanny to bring them. Finn tried to get more information about Grace’s involvement from Bill but he just wanted to be happy that his son would live.
Kelly and Beth came to visit Liam, and he explained why he was hooked up to all the machines and showed them his cool hat. He made it fun and loving, and the girls weren’t scared of their dad’s condition. They sat on either side of their dad as Steffy and Hope told them that their dad was a real hero. Finn explained that the machines were to help the doctors keep an eye on their dad and assured them that Liam was getting better and stronger every day. Liam promised his daughters more daddy dances and told them he loved them. “Best million I ever spent,” Bill said to himself, emotionally.
In the hospital hallway, Brifdget recalled how Grace was the one who claimed that Liam had an inoperable mass. In flashbacks, she remembered the timeline of his diagnosis to being discharged, and she looked very concerned.
In her office, Grace looked at her phone. She had a message confirming Bill’s million-dollar deposit, then transferred the money to another account. She struggled to breathe as she recalled giving the diagnosis, the medications, and the conversations about Liam’s condition.
