The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, July 25, 2025: Steffy leaves town, Finn investigates, Sheila changes her name

Just then, Brooke came into the room. Eric told Brooke he was trying to impress on Ridge the importance of seizing the day. Ridge reminded them it was a business trip, but Eric noted that Italy was filled with passion and romance. “Things that the two of you understand very well,” he added, making Brooke smile.

Brooke stared at Ridge as she added to Eric’s speech about how many beautiful, life-changing moments they had shared in Italy. Eric agreed and jumped on the opportunity to reiterate everything over again. Ridge asked if his dad thought he might be overselling it a little bit. “No, the heart wants what the heart wants,” Eric laughed. He told Ridge and Brooke he would leave them alone and see them on the plane. “To a transformative trip!” Eric exclaimed before leaving. Once alone, Brooke told Ridge that Eric was right. “The heart wants what the heart wants,” she cooed.

Brooke picked up where Eric left off, telling Ridge it was inevitable that they would get back together. He protested that he and Taylor were engaged and going to live life together. Brooke mocked that their relationship wasn’t based on anything solid. She reminded him they had a misunderstanding, but said she loved him. Brooke painted a picture of what their trip would look like and how they would spend their time. “We’ll do what we do best. We love each other. How does that sound? Does it sound like magic?” Brooke asked hopefully.

Brooke suggested they have dinner in Italy, and the magic would overtake them, but Ridge said it wasn’t going to happen. “You can’t have dinner with me? When are you going ot come to your senses and realize we belong together?” Brooke asked. “I’m sorry you’re hurting,” Ridge said simply. Brooke lamented that she was hurting and nothing made sense. “We’re broken up all over again — and why?” she persisted. Outside the door, Taylor walked up and began listening.

Taylor heard Brooke tell Ridge that he might be engaged to Taylor, living with her, and sleeping with her, but he will never love her the way he loved Brooke. “And you can deny it all you want, but you love me, Ridge, and you always will,” she added. Brooke asked him again to hash it out. “If you don’t want to have dinner with me, Nick gladly would. But I would rather it were you. It should be you. And deep down, you know it should be me,” Brooke told him.

At the Forrester mansion, Taylor laughed at Nick that he happened to have business in Naples at the same time as Brooke and Ridge were heading there. Nick liked to think that luck was generally on his side. Taylor thought he could do them both a favor while he was in Italy.

Taylor explained that Nick knew and was part of her long history with Brooke, and asked Nick to keep an eye on Brooke around her fiancé. Taylor said she didn’t want him to spy on Brooke, but she knew that she would go after Ridge and thought it would be nice to have someone on the lookout. “It’s supposed to be a business trip. It would be comforting if it stays that way,” Taylor added. Nick didn’t know if it was mischievous or smart on Taylor’s part, and said he’d think about it.

Finn was trying to track down Grace, but she couldn’t be found. As he hung up the phone to Admin, Bridget came into his office and said she had tried as well, to no avail. They both wanted answers about Liam’s surprise miracle surgery and release from the hospital. Apparently, Grace had someone else covering her rounds, and they thought it was weird that Grace hadn’t been in touch with them.

Finn agreed that it was a miracle and they were happy Liam was going to live, but Finn and Bridget wanted to know how she pulled it off. He said he couldn’t let go of the secrecy. The surgery happened off-site with an unnamed doctor. Bridget suggested the risks were worth taking.

Bridget said they knew for sure that Bill wanted to save his son’s life, and assumed that Grace must have told him that the surgery could happen the next day. She suggested that Grace’s colleague was only available that day, and the facility could take them. Finn understood what she was saying, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that there were a lot of unanswered questions. Later, Finn studied Liam’s x-rays and mused, “What really happened to you, Liam?”

At the Spencer mansion, the nurse did a check on Liam as he was visiting with Steffy. After the nurse left, Sheila came in but offered to leave when she saw Steffy there. Steffy stopped her and asked Sheila to come in. Steffy told Sheila she remembered everything, including how she looked out for her. “I just want to say thank you,” Steffy told her.

Sheila was in shock that Steffy thanked her and asked if all was forgiven. Steffy told her to take the win. She pointed out that Sheila and Luna could have solved all their issues by taking her out but she chose to save her instead. “And that’s something I’m never ever going to forget,” she added.

Sheila didn’t want to overstay her welcome, but told Liam that she was grateful that he wrestled the gun from Luna and glad he survived. She did note that she had sympathy for her granddaughter, though she knew no one would agree. Steffy asked her how her foot was before she left. “They’re not going to be able to call me Sheila 9 Toes anymore because now I’m Sheila 8 Toes,” Sheila said as she showed them her bandaged foot. As Sheila cracked up, Steffy and Liam looked horrified. “Oh come on, you gotta laugh,” she told them.

After Sheila left, Liam and Steffy said that showing them her remaining toes was the “can’t miss event of the season.” Liam told Steffy that it was really big of her to say what she did to Sheila. Steffy told Liam she had been processing everything and had a talk with Finn. She thought it was a good idea to take Kelly and Hayes out of town for a bit. Liam thought that if it would help her, she should do it. Steffy cried that she didn’t want to leave Liam and told him how much he meant to her. “You go, I’ll be fine. And when you come back, we’ll get to put all of this behind us,” Liam encouraged.

Brooke went to the design office to gather things. Taylor walked in and asked if she was packing up. She said she was there to go to dinner with Ridge before their flight, putting emphasis on the word “dinner.” Brooke told her that Ridge was preoccupied with their trip, and she hoped Taylor would understand if he wasn’t available. “Do you understand that he’s not available?

Taylor came in and shut the door behind her. “I heard you earlier with Ridge, doing what you do best: making a play for him,” Taylor seethed. Brooke asked why Taylor just didn’t make herself known so they could’ve settled it. “It is settled. Ridge is with me. And there is nothing you can do in Italy or anywhere else to change that. Nothing is coming between Ridge and me,” Taylor told her firmly.
