The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, June 13: Brooke refused to give up on her destiny, Luna refused to give up on Finn

In Eric's office, all Brooke could do was think back to the fashion show and how Ridge greeted her when she came down the runway in the updated Portofino wedding gown. She longed for her destiny, but alas, she was with Taylor and refused to come home.

Hope found her mother lost in thought and knew that Ridge was on Brooke's mind. Brooke claimed Ridge had gone home, and she wasn't waiting around for him. There was still important work to be done, and she wasn't ready to go home. Brooke finally admitted to Hope that it was lonely at home, especially with Beth and Hope spending so much time at Carter's.

Hope poured her mother some coffee and said she was worried about her working so hard to try to distract herself from missing Ridge. "This is only temporary," Brooke insisted. "Yes, Ridge is with Taylor right now, and that hurts me, but it's not going to last. We belong together. I believe that, and deep down so does he."

Hope tried to reason with Brooke, as her mom claimed she wasn't deluding herself. Hope couldn't believe that Ridge and Taylor were all that Brooke could think about. "How could I not think about it? It haunts me," Brooke said.

Hope didn't like seeing Brooke in limbo like this, but Brooke assured her that she was holding onto faith. "If I give up now, I will never forgive myself. I do believe that Ridge is my destiny," Brooke sighed. "I know some people scoff at the word destiny. They think that it's silly or naive, but I believe in it. I believe that Ridge is mine. How could I not after everything we've shared?"

At the Forrester mansion, Ridge supported Taylor as she worried about Steffy. Taylor thanked Ridge for being there for her.

"I'm so grateful for you. For your grace and support, being together and helping Steffy through this awful chapter," Taylor said. Ridge just blamed Bill for everything and said he was talking to the Forrester legal team to see how they could get Luna back behind bars. Later, Taylor curled up in Ridge's arms as his mind drifted elsewhere.

Steffy, Finn, and Hayes sat around the coffee table playing checkers like a happy, normal American family, having no clue of the danger that lurked. While Hayes cleaned up, Steffy took Finn aside and expressed her shock at seeing Luna there earlier, knowing that Hayes was home.

"She won't get near him. I promise. Luna's not going to be a problem for us," Finn said. They went on to give Hayes a sappy speech about enjoying childhood and not growing up too fast. After Hayes went to put his pajamas on, Steffy began to fret.

"I can't let anything happen to him, Finn. It gives me chills that he was in the same room with Luna. We have to do everything in our power to protect our family from that lunatic, " Steffy said.

When Finn returned from tucking in Hayes, he and Steffy continued to talk about how important family was. "That's all I thought about when Luna kidnapped me," Steffy lamented.

Steffy and Finn later enjoyed some time by the fire as Steffy noted that her children were both safe. "And I'm going to do everything I can to keep them that way," Finn promised. "Your love for me guides me. Every choice that I make. There's nothing more important than you."

Finn apologized for bringing so much drama into Steffy's life with his crazy mother and daughter, but Steffy was grateful that Finn was doing what he could to keep them away.

Luna continued to cry over her plight in her apartment, thinking about how sweet Finn was with Hayes and how she couldn't have that because of Steffy. While she stared at pics of the Finnegan fam on her phone, Remy showed up at her door. Luna let him in.

Remy claimed he was there to check up on her. "What are friends for, Luna? Just want to make sure you're staying out of trouble," Remy said.

Luna told Remy that she stopped by Finn's house and figured since the door wasn't locked, they couldn't be that afraid of her. So, she thought if she kept apologizing, it would work. "But no, Steffy shut me down again. Got my dad all riled up and defensive," Luna said. However, the fact that Finn told her to hide when Hayes appeared made her think he really didn't want her to leave.

Luna thought Steffy would come around if she only understood the pain of a child being kept from their parent. That's when she started thinking more about Hayes before switching to blaming Poppy for never telling her who her dad was.

"Wasn't he really young, though?" Remy asked. He felt it would be rough if a college student found out he had a kid. "For some guys, but not my dad," Luna pronounced. She knew that Finn would have been there for her despite his age and was sure that Finn felt the same way now.
