What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Ridge was stunned to see Nick in Eric's office with Brooke. "I haven't seen your face around here in a while. It's been years, I think," Ridge said. Nick hoped seeing him was a good surprise, but Ridge wasn't sure and asked Nick why he was in Los Angeles.
"It's just that time of year in California. Sunshine was calling me," Nick explained. Brooke added that they were just catching up and talking about Jack working at Forrester International.
Nick congratulated Nick on getting his company back and being back with Taylor. Ridge only looked at Nick suspiciously. "You seem very interested in my love life. Why is that?" Ridge asked. He still wanted a real answer as to why Nick was in L.A.
"Sometimes I am looking for a new adventure. Sometimes I am chasing an old memory," Nick told Ridge. Nick explained that he also had some business in Long Beach, but this trip would also involve pleasure. Ridge questioned Nick about his own life, but Nick claimed to be free and single. "I guess life at sea has always been my...destiny," he said, looking right at Brooke. "But you know about destiny, don't you, Ridge?"
Ridge changed the subject back to work and the silk that didn't arrive by ship, as it was supposed to. Ridge said that he and Brooke were very busy, so Nick graciously kissed Brooke's hand and bid them both adieu. Once alone, Ridge showed his jealousy and told Brooke that she was too good for Nick. Brooke was pleased by Ridge's attitude.
At the cliff house, Taylor and Steffy made small talk. Steffy was so grateful that Liam made the beach house into an art school, and loved how good he was with her kids. Steffy was also grateful for how much Electra was able to help out with the kids, as well as relieved that the kids were learning art in a safe place.
Taylor wanted to make sure that Steffy was doing okay, considering what was going on with both Liam and Luna. "I don't know. I just feel like I'm all over the place. Like, one minute I'm in denial, and the next, I'm just angry, and I'm really sad. Nothing about this is normal. Liam is dying...He's just so stoic. He's not even thinking about himself. He's thinking about me. Keeping us safe," Steffy said.
Steffy admitted that it was exhausting to always have to look over their shoulder thanks to Luna. She wished Liam would focus on himself and not worry about Luna all the time. She also hated seeing Finn blaming himself for not being there for Luna when she was growing up.
"I can't help it. I just can't stop thinking about Luna. You just never know when she's going to strike again," Steffy lamented. She explained that she was alarmed when Luna was there and referred to Hayes as her half-brother. "Hayes and Luna may share the same father. But they'll never be siblings. Not in any real way," Taylor said.
Luna continued lurking outside the beach house. When Hayes picked up his shovel before heading back inside, Luna approached him and offered him an origami seagull she had made. Hayes happily accepted it and ran back inside. He decided to use the seagull as a basis for his drawing and told the teacher that a nice lady had given it to him.
Electra soon arrived to pick Hayes up. He showed her his gift while Luna watched them both with a menacing look in her eyes. When Electra got Hayes home, he showed Steffy and Taylor the origami, but didn't mention where he got it from at first. After Electra, Steffy, and Taylor gushed about it some more, Hayes told them the truth. "A nice lady gave it to me," he said, but Steffy didn't find anything strange about that.
After Hayes ran off, Electra praised Steffy's children and told her how nice it was to connect with other Forrester family members. Steffy thanked her for saying that, but confessed she was so worried about her children's safety, due to Luna and Sheila.
Back at the beach house, the teacher was surprised to see Luna when she walked outside to clean up. Luna had made another origami by then, so the teacher deduced she was the person who gave the seagull to Hayes. She was impressed and invited Luna to be a guest artist for the class.
The teacher explained the art program to Luna, calling Luna an origami pro. Luna hemmed and hawed about it, but finally agreed to be a guest teacher. When the teacher introduced herself as Dylan, Luna told the young woman that her name was Sunshine.
