What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Bill sat silently as Luna gave him her sob story of having nobody to count on, not even her own mother. "You got me out of prison. You let me stay at your house. You treated me like a daughter. It was just us. It was our secret. Me, you, and that ankle monitor. It was really special until Steffy found out and everything blew up. I know that my dad would want me if it weren't for Steffy," Luna whined.
Bill stopped her and told Luna he'd heard enough. "You are not the victim here. You know that. You poisoned two men and killed them. You kidnapped Steffy and locked her in a cage, and left her for dead. Of course, she doesn't want you in their lives, and neither do I," Bill insisted.
Luna was shocked to hear Bill being so cold. How could he turn on her, too? Bill said he wasn't turning on her. "You don't get it. Maybe I made a mistake getting you out of jail and getting you pardoned," Bill mused. Luna cried that she wasn't a dangerous person anymore. "I just need to know that I have someone I can lean on, someone who understands me. Everyone else? They want me to just leave town."
Bill told Luna that that was exactly what she should do. "Steffy and Finn don't want you here. You're a free woman. Go make a life for yourself anywhere but here," Bill advised. "I can't help you anymore. Goodbye, Luna," Bill added before walking out. Luna decided Bill was also turning on her because of Steffy. She picked up the gun she bought and got an ominous look on her face.
Finn and Steffy began their day together with a kiss after Finn's morning swim. Finn noted that Steffy didn't sleep well and was tossing and turning all night. "I thought I was done losing sleep over Luna, but guess I'm not. She's back," Steffy lamented.
Steffy wasn't happy that Sheila had been calling. She ignored her calls, but Finn said she had been calling him, too. "I wonder what's going on. Actually, on second thought, I'd rather not know," Steffy said.
As they discussed Luna and her lack of respect for boundaries, house guest Liam appeared and told them he had already made Kelly breakfast. He asked why they had been talking about Luna. Liam was alarmed that Luna had been there, but Steffy didn't think it was going to happen again.
Finn and Steffy asked Liam to put Luna out of his mind when he had his own brain tumor situation to deal with. Liam said it was hard for him to put Luna aside because he cared about them so much. "I'm not going to let Luna lay another hand on Steffy. That will never happen," Finn assured. Liam noted how insane it was that they even had to think of her at all, but now she was free thanks to his dad, so they had no choice. "It was the worst decision of Bill's life," Finn declared.
Deacon and Sheila woke up still talking about Luna. "I don't like the idea of you being alone with her," Deacon said. "I hope she doesn't act on those dark impulses cause I don't want to lose all faith in my granddaughter," Sheila said. Deacon pointed out that Luna had burned too many bridges and nobody would help her.
Sheila told Deacon that she had been trying to reach out to Steffy and Finn to warn them about Luna, but they were ignoring her. "I think it's my responsibility to let them know what she's been saying," Sheila said. When Deacon left, Sheila sent Poppy a text and asked Poppy to meet her at her place.
When Poppy arrived, she told Sheila that she had barely spoken to Luna in months. "She's not stable at all. I fear that she's about to make the same mistake all over again," Sheila warned. Poppy tried to leave, saying that Luna wasn't her problem anymore. Sheila pointed out that Poppy was Luna's mother. "But I can't control her. And I am sick and tired of being held responsible for the horrible things that she's done. Is that why you asked me to come here? Just to berate me again?"
Sheila insisted that wasn't the reason at all. She explained how she had been spending time with Luna, but now feared she was on the brink of hurting Steffy. "I am truly afraid that Luna's gonna come off the rails. If she does, her anger and her bitterness are going to be directed at Steffy again," Sheila said.
Poppy became alarmed, especially after Sheila told her that Luna suggested Sheila help her get rid of Steffy. "I took a chance on Sheila. But it's different. She's my wife," Deacon said, as Luna begged for forgiveness. Deacon showed Luna a photo of Hollis and told her that he was her best friend. "The guy on the left? That's Tom, who saved your grandmother's life," Deacon spat, hoping Luna would see what she had done.
Down in the bar area, Deacon looked up from his work and spotted Luna. He quickly ordered her to leave, but she insisted she was there in peace. She even apologized for killing Tom and Hollis, but Deacon didn't care. Luna felt that since Deacon could accept Sheila, he could accept her.
Luna was thrilled to open her apartment door to Bill. "Everyone's turned their backs on me and you were the one person I could always count on. You said you would always be there for me. You promised. And I really need you right now. You're the one person who truly cares about me and understands me. Bill, please don't abandon me, too," Luna begged.
Deacon also ordered Luna to leave town before walking away. That only caused Luna to reach into her purse and clutch her gun.
