The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, May 13: Liam figures out Hope knows he's dying

Here is your The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, May 13, 2025, when Hope became a puddle of tears in front of Liam.

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope and Liam continued to embrace in Brooke's living room. Both were in tears but were determined not to let the other know why they were crying. Liam finally asked Hope why she was so emotional.

"I kinda feel like we've left a lot of things unsaid, and I don't want that for us," Hope admitted. "You've made yourself clear. You think my future is with Carter," she added. Liam apologized for being a little too blunt with Hope, but she said she was grateful for the honesty. "You know you can tell me anything, Liam."

Liam began praising Hope. "You're an intrinsically positive person by nature. Don't let that light dim. You have so much life ahead of you," he said. Liam reiterated how good Carter and Hope were for each other.

"Remember when we used to feel that way about each other?" Hope asked. "I appreciate you trying to talk about Carter, but I'm trying to talk about you. Carter isn't the only man that I'm grateful to have in my life."

Hope and Liam sat on the couch holding hands and telling each other how wonderful they were. "I want you to know that I don't take your friendship for granted," Hope said. "I can feel what we mean to each other. It's constant, it's ever-present," Liam admitted.

He spoke of their life at the cabin and how intimate it was. Yes, they could have afforded a bigger place, but it was perfect for them. "We packed a lot of love in there, a lot of memories," Liam said. "We can make more," Hope responded. She remembered all the good times in the cabin, calling life "one big messy adventure."

Liam noticed that he was feeling joy. "I'm smiling. I'm laughing," he marveled. Hope suggested they spend more time together with Beth, perhaps even plan a trip. Hope couldn't get control of her emotions as she told Liam how much she and Beth loved him.

Finally, Liam took Hope in his arms and said, "You know, don't you?" Hope only nodded her head yes.

At Steffy's place, Steffy immediately spoke for her husband and told Luna that Finn didn't want to see her. Luna wouldn't give up. "It's been really hard finding out you're my dad and not being able to talk to you," Luna explained.

Luna went on and on about how wonderful it felt to know who her dad was finally, and she only wanted a real relationship with him. Steffy had heard enough and told Luna she had a few minutes, but now it was time to go. She reminded Luna of how Luna locked her in a cage last summer. Luna simply apologized.

"Sorry? You can't apologize for something like that," Steffy said. "I get it. I can't be here even though Finn's my dad, and I miss him a lot. I'm an adult and I'm responsible for my own actions. I won't bother you anymore," Luna sighed before walking out.

Once Luna was gone, Finn assured Steffy he had tried to get rid of her. "Let's hope she learns from this. She did say she is an adult now, and we set boundaries, so she needs to respect them," Steffy stated.

Steffy changed the subject and told Finn about her meeting with Hope. "It was weird finally being on the same side of something," Steffy said. Finn was disappointed to know that Steffy told Hope about Liam's condition. "He told you not to," Finn said. Steffy didn't care, pointing out that Liam and Hope share a child, so Hope had a right to know.

Steffy said they'd shield Kelly and Beth from the truth as long as possible, but Hope had to know. "I don't want her to wish she had more time with him, wish she had done things differently. Hope loves Liam. She deserves to know," Steffy asserted.

At Il Giardino, Deacon noticed that Sheila was distracted, but she refused to tell him that she was thinking about Luna's quest to get to know Finn. However, Deacon knew. Sheila told her husband that it wasn't easy for her not to be with her son. "I see Hope coming here to see you...that's the way a relationship is supposed to be between a parent and her child...or grandchildren," Sheila said.

Sheila said she was worried about Finn and didn't want to make things more difficult for him. Deacon didn't see how she would do that, but then began making fun of the Finn-Luna situation. Sheila got angry and told Deacon to stop, so he did. "You made me a promise, you're keeping it. You got a no-contact rule with your crazy granddaughter. All good," he said before walking away.

After Deacon left for a meeting, Luna returned. Sheila asked her how her time with Finn went. "Not as good as I had hoped. Thanks to Steffy," Luna lamented. Luna was pleased that Finn didn't kick her out before Steffy even got there. Then, Steffy returned, and things went south. "That little bitch manipulates him," Luna spat.
