The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, May 29: Hope gives Liam her big news

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

At Il Giardino, Electra once again warned Luna to stay away from Will. "He doesn't want anything to do with you, but you won't listen, which is why I'm here," Electra said. "I'm here to tell you to back off."

"Why would you need to do that if Will is so repulsed by me?" Luna asked. "Oh, you're jealous. That's so embarrassing, coming here and telling me to stay away from your boyfriend."

Electra said she wasn't backing down, nor would she "take orders from a crazy person like you." Electra informed Luna that Will wasn't coming and she needed to wake up and realize that Will would never be interested in a "wack job like you."

Luna put Electra on notice and warned her that she would be sorry if she came after her again. Sheila overheard that part and put her own granddaughter on notice. "Luna, you need to step back before you do something you're gonna regret," she said, while Electra smugly looked on.

"Listen to your grandma, Luna. You don't want to fight with me. Just leave Will alone, because if you mess with him, you mess with me," Electra said before walking off.

Once Electra was gone, Luna swore to Sheila she wasn't becoming obsessed with Will. "Luna, when you're given a second chance, you don't make the same mistakes," Sheila warned. "You keep telling me how you've changed, but from everything I've witnessed today, I really have to wonder...I'm afraid it's time for you to leave Los Angeles."

As they worked in the design office, Katie could tell that Will was distracted and asked him what was wrong. "I've been thinking about Luna," Will said to a surprised Katie. Will told his freaked-out mother that Luna has been regularly texting him. "She sends me these DMs. She's into me, Mom. She thinks that we can be a couple," Will admitted.

Will worried that Electra went after Luna because he showed her the latest text. "She needs to stay away from Luna. This girl, Mom, she's dangerous," Will lamented. Katie was further alarmed when she learned that Will responded to the texts to tell her that he was not interested.

"You can't do that. It encourages her. It puts you in danger. She's not rational. She's a murderer and should be in prison," Katie cried before going off on Bill for being Luna's champion. Katie thought that Will should tell Bill what was going on, but he refused. "Luna is not going to risk going back to jail," Will insisted.

Electra returned to the design office and told Will that she had gone to see Luna. Will was concerned when Electra told him that she and Luna had argued, but she was okay. "Electra, she is a psychopath. You need to stay away from her," he begged.

Brooke walked into Eric's office and told Ridge they should throw an engagement party for Hope and Carter. Brooke was surprised to see that Ridge was less enthusiastic about this engagement than she was. "How public do Hope and Carter want to be about this engagement?" Ridge asked.

Brooke figured since they were so happy, they'd want everyone to know. "This is the kind of commitment that Hope needs in her life," Brooke said.

Ridge admitted that he wasn't sure he could trust Hope and Carter as a team. "They turned into Bonnie and Clyde the last time they got together," he said. Brooke shrugged it off and said it was in the past. "We have to find a way to move forward like Hope and Carter have," she said.

Brooke found a way to beg Ridge to return to her. Everyone else was getting along, so why not them? "It's time, Ridge. Really, it's time for you to come back home. We belong together," she said with a dreamy smile.

Hope stopped by the cliff house to see Liam. Hope checked out Liam was feeling before she flashed her ring and dropped the news that she and Carter were engaged. Hope was relieved that Liam was happy for her. "I am the one who told you to give Carter another chance, which was clearly the right move," Liam said.

"You always did want what was best for me," Hope said. "I just had a difficult time delivering the goods," Liam replied. Hope disagreed, pointing out that Liam gave her Beth, helped her make peace with Steffy, and encouraged her to reunite with Carter. "You, sir, have done a lot," she said.

Hope and Liam became sentimental, as Hope cried bittersweet tears. Hope thanked Liam for convincing her to forgive Carter and try again. "I appreciate you talking some sense into me. You helped me get over myself...that helped me remember everything that drew me to Carter in the first place," she said.

"That is music to my ears. I don't know how much time I've got left, but I know I'll have peace if you and Beth have Carter to take care of you," Liam said. He soon became emotional. He feared how emotionally hard his death would be on Hope and Beth.

"I don't want you to worry about us. I am strong and tough, and I will be able to handle it, but it doesn't mean that it's fair," Hope cried. Liam made Hope promise to always remember how much he loved her as they cried in an embrace.
