At Brooke’s house, Steffy tearfully repeated to Hope that Liam was dying, as Hope shook her head in disbelief. Hope refused to believe what Steffy was saying. She wanted to call Liam, but Steffy stopped her. “I know this is really painful, but we have to face this together. Kelly and Beth are losing their father, Hope!” Steffy cried. Hope was mindblown as she tried to process what Steffy was telling her.

Hope didn’t want it to be real and didn’t even know what to ask. Steffy apologized for dumping the information on Hope, but felt she needed to know. “He’s sick, isn’t he?” Hope asked. “It’s a random situation,” Steffy told her. Steffy explained how Liam had hit his head and had to have life-saving brain surgery at the hospital.

Hope was upset that no one told her about Liam’s fall. Steffy reiterated that Liam didn’t want anyone to know. Steffy elaborated that after the surgery, the scans showed that Liam had an large mass on his brain, and it was inoperable. Steffy cried that there was nothing anyone could do to save Liam. Hope was stunned. She asked about a second opinion, but Steffy said that he’d had it already.

Hope wanted to know why Liam had known for weeks, but no one told her what was happening. Steffy explained that Liam didn’t want anyone to know. Steffy and Hope talked about how worrying about everyone else was such a Liam thing to do.

The two women cried and talked, and were both experiencing the same thoughts and emotions. They both wanted to do anything they could to fix the situation, and cried about their daughters’ losses. “So you’re telling me our girls will grow up without their dad,” Hope cried.

Hope said she knew something was wrong, but Liam wouldn’t tell her what was going on. In retrospect, all the things that he had said were his way of saying goodbye. She asked Steffy what they should do for Beth and Kelly and how to tell them. “Our little girls are going to need each other,” Hope said shakily. She asked how she and Steffy would be able to say goodbye to Liam. As Hope sobbed, she thanked Steffy for telling her the truth. Steffy and Hope held each other as they cried.

At the cliff house, Liam told Finn that he had moments when he was energetic and felt fine. But then he also had others that were blurry and weak. Finn advised that Liam shouldn’t overdo it. As Liam went to stand, he got dizzy and sat back down. Finn rushed to his side.

Liam thought his dizzy spells were getting more frequent and happening a few times a day. Finn thought blurred vision was common in patients with his type of brain mass. Finn reiterated that surgery wasn’t an option.

Liam didn’t have a plan moving forward, other than crossing his fingers that he’d have more days with his daughters. Finn said he and Steffy wanted the same for him and hoped to buy him as much time as possible. Finn felt Liam would need a lot of emotional support and wanted his family to know what he was going through so they could be there for him. “They deserve to grieve with you, to be with you,” Finn advised. “To say goodbye to me, you mean,” Liam grimaced.

Finn thought that Liam’s brothers and dad would want to be there for him. “No one more than Hope,” he added. Liam explained that he wanted control over his circumstances, and at that moment, he didn’t want anyone to know he was dying.

At Il Giardino, Luna snuck in to see her grandma. Sheila assured her that Deacon would eventually come around. Luna told her that she was spending her time appreciating her new life. She said there was nothing she wanted more than a relationship with her father.

Luna didn’t think it was fair that she was being prevented from talking to Finn. Sheila shared that she had done things she wished she could take back, but knew that she was changed. Luna could relate and was tired of everyone else treating her like a pariah. Luna said that Steffy had reasons to hate her, but she refused to let Steffy keep her away from Finn.

“Dad and I, and my brother, would be bonding right now if it wasn’t for her,” Luna complained. Sheila knew how she felt and said she’d uttered those same words before. Luna said she’d had enough of waiting and stormed off to see Finn.

Liam went to Il Giardino and messaged Bill. He said that he’d just gotten to the restaurant and asked if he would like to meet him. Bill replied that he would love to and was going to head right over. As Liam waited, he looked tearfully at photos on his phone of his daughters and Hope.

Finn was at home on the phone when Luna walked in the front door. He quickly hung up as Luna told him that he didn’t need to worry as she had checked for Steffy’s car before coming in. She thought he would like it if she surprised him. Luna told him that she had texted him ten times but got no response. Finn shrugged that he had a lot going on.

Luna said she knew he was busy. “But I miss you, Dad,” Luna told him. She added that she loved him, and knew he was a good guy, and that he wasn’t the type of father who would want to turn his back on his own kid.
