What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Baker kicked things off to inform the Spencer family that Luna raced into traffic and was fatally struck by a vehicle. Baker knew about the miscarriage and explained to Will and his family that she wasn't lying about it. He asked how Will was handling everything, but he wasn't sure how to process everything. Baker believed that after all that went down, it was his duty to check in on them. He assured the family that Luna was dead and she no longer posed a threat to any of them.
After Baker left, Katie acknowledged the confusion her son might be feeling. The course of his life changed again, and Bill said, "The baby would've been a Spencer. We are all feeling the loss." Katie wanted the family to acknowledge the loss by lighting a candle, and Will thanked her for acknowledging that. Liam assured Will that he only mourned the baby, and he was unable to feel any compassion for the woman who had nearly taken his life.
Will lit the candle, internally conflicted by how to feel about the sudden loss of a child that he was unsure he wanted from the beginning. Bill and Katie vowed that he'd be a wonderful father in the future, and hopefully it would be with someone he loved, which prompted a loving glance between Will and Electra.
Katie urged Will to let himself feel the full gamut of his emotions, and that the family would be by his side throughout it all. Bill was adamant that any connection to Luna would've been dangerous, which included the baby. Katie thought the family needed to move forward as a united front to make the most of the time they still had together. Bill consoled Katie, who seemed weighed down by everything that transpired. He expressed his gratitude that Luna was out of their lives for good, and he wanted the family to put that chapter behind them.
Will and Electra returned to the beach house, and she asked if her presence was welcome. She wanted him to express his emotions without his parents' oversight. Will compared himself to Bill, and how his father was always in an endless cycle of mistakes and apologies, but Electra promised they had a fresh start.
Finn explained to Steffy, Poppy, Taylor, and Li about how Luna's injuries from being hit by a car claimed her life. Li was concerned that Finn struggled to wrap his mind around it. She insisted that Luna was out of the picture, so the family could return to some semblance of safety. However, she noted that Luna was Finn's daughter, so it was understandable if he experienced any conflicting emotions. Li also acknowledged Poppy and her own confused feelings, but Poppy confessed that Luna had been dead to her for a long time, a statement that upset Li.
Li was disgusted that Poppy had no remorse for the untimely death of her daughter. Taylor put on her therapist hat and told them not to rehash the past. Poppy confessed that although she loved her daughter, she couldn't look past being framed for murder, and she was "glad" Luna was eradicated. Taylor expressed love for everyone in the room, but she gave them the ability to feel relieved at Luna's death.
Steffy admitted she understood Finn wasn't as relieved as she was. He was conflicted. It wasn't as simple for him. Despite the monster that Luna was to his wife and other loved ones, she was still his daughter. Steffy asked him outright how he felt about the loss of his daughter. Finn didn't think he had a right to be upset about Luna's death because of the heinous nature of her crimes. Steffy told her husband that she was mourning her, but acknowledging his anger toward her could exist at the same time.
Finn was frustrated that it was too late to be a father to Luna once he learned the truth. Too much had happened, and he wished things could've been different. Finn believed that Luna was broken and that her life was tragic and cut short. However, he vowed that his commitment remained to Steffy and the kids, and they required protection from Luna. Steffy told him how much she loved him and that she was also there for him, and that together, there wasn't anything they couldn't accomplish.
Deacon asked Sheila if she needed to return to bed and get some rest after Luna was killed. She didn't think it made sense, and she couldn't wrap her mind around the reality that her grandfather was truly dead this time. Deacon understood that Sheila was in shock and didn't know what Luna had tried to accomplish by seeking out Will. Deacon continued calling Luna crazy, but Sheila only admitted that she was "troubled." Deacon nearly spat out his coffee at his wife's generous label.
Deacon acknowledged the toll this took on her, but he needed her to understand that Luna had it coming. He refused to show any remorse for the woman who murdered his close friends in cold blood. Deacon was fine with Sheila feeling bad about the death of her family because of their connection. However, despite her and Li's beliefs, Deacon didn't think Luna was capable of redemption. Sheila gave her every potential opportunity to fix her life, but she squandered it. Sheila confessed that even though her behaviour was reprehensible, she loved her nonetheless.
He didn't want his wife to sugarcoat the horrific nature of Luna's actions. Sheila refused to condemn her, regardless of how much Deacon threw salt on the wind, and reminded her of Luna's misdeeds. She asked Deacon if he was happy that Luna was dead, but he denied it. He understood the pain that Sheila was in, but he threw in a comment that hit her hard when he said, "Karma's a bitch, and it finally caught up to Luna."
Deacon reminded Sheila that Luna killed his friends and that she nearly murdered her as well. Sheila acknowledged her commitment to her husband and was thankful that Deacon gave her a second chance. She didn't think she'd overcome her current state if she didn't have Deacon by her side. Sheila praised Taylor's wisdom and talents at bringing them back together, and she believed she owed everything to the good doctor.
