Lisa Yamada, Tanner Novlan, Naomi Matsuda, Don Diamont: The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Wednesday, March 12, 2025: Luna is shockingly pardoned

"How could you possibly let Luna out of prison?" was what was on everyone's mind. Ridge, Taylor, Steffy, and Finn confronted Bill and Luna as she begged not to be sent back to prison for fear that she would die there. But Ridge, Taylor, and Steffy reiterated that there was no choice and Luna was headed back to prison for being a killer.

Steffy yelled at Bill for putting their family in danger. Luna begged Finn to help her, again saying she feared for her life. He remarked, “You killed two men and you attacked the love of my life.” He then said that Steffy was right and Luna needed to go back to prison to pay for her crimes.

Ridge told Bill, “You know, next time you get lonely, why don’t you rescue a dog or something?” Bill admitted that he may have overstepped but he wanted to help someone in need because no one helped him when he was a kid. Steffy called Chief Baker and told him that Luna was at Bill's house. He asked if she was safe and when she said she was, he told her not to leave and that he was on his way. Luna begged not to go back because she didn't want to be away from her dad.

As Luna pleaded, Steffy said she was only feeling remorse because she got busted. Taylor chimed in with, "I have patients with backgrounds far more tragic than yours and they haven't killed anyone." She also said there was no excuse for what Bill did. Luna defended Bill by saying he understood how much she had struggled throughout her life. Baker and an officer showed up, and he asked what Luna was doing there.

“It’s on the up and up. The powers that be know that she’s with me,” Bill said after Steffy explained to Baker that Luna had an ankle monitor. Bill further explained that Luna was under 24-hour surveillance. “You’ve got a nice estate here, Mr Spencer but you're not equipped to hold a high-risk criminal, especially somebody as deadly as Luna Nozawa,” Baker warned.

The officer put handcuffs on Luna who continued to beg not to be sent back to prison. Baker then got a call from someone clearly above him. After being confused by what the other person was saying, he acquiesced, calling them "Sir." To everyone's surprise, Baker told the officer to remove the cuffs, as well as the ankle monitor. He explained, “Luna Nozawa has been pardoned.” Everyone was shocked and outraged, and started yelling in a frantic tizzy. Steffy begged Finn to do something, and he just stood there looking stunned.

At Il Giardino, Deacon was still trying to wrap his brain around the fact that Luna turned out to be a killer and said it was Poppy's fault. Sheila, seeming like she took offense to that, retorted, “Just blame the mom, huh? That’s what everybody seems to do.” He felt that Tom Starr would have been a good dad but Sheila said that was "a bit of a stretch." They wondered why Li summoned Poppy away so quickly, and Deacon said he wouldn't want to be on Li's bad side.

Sheila felt that because Poppy and Li were now close, something good may have come out of Luna's horrific actions. Sheila did refer to Luna as a bad seed and Deacon responded, “She’s definitely got the crazy gene, that’s for sure.” Deacon then lamented Tom and Hollis' deaths. He remarked that every time he looked at Poppy, he was reminded of what Luna did and how she took his friends away. Sheila started to defend Poppy, and Deacon was surprised that she had sympathy for the woman. "I know what it's like to be another separated from your child," she said, looking introspective. Deacon said there was something about Poppy that he did not trust. When Sheila asked him what he meant, he stated that it was a feeling he learned not to ignore.

At the hospital, Li recalled Finn telling her that Luna was his daughter and the shocked look on her face. Then Poppy showed up, all happy and practically dancing her way into Li's office. She ecstatically explained that she was thrilled to get Li's text. She then told Li that she used to hate being called her "Sweet little sister," but now she loves that term. Poppy said that family was everything to her. “My family matters to me more than you could possibly imagine,” Li said, adding that she would do everything she could to protect the ones she loved.

Poppy told Li she was worried about where Luna was because nobody was giving her answers. From the prison warden to the lawyer, she could simply not find out where her daughter was. She remarked that they would just tell her that Luna's still serving her sentence but wouldn't say where. Li revealed that Luna was at Bill Spencer's. When Poppy asked if she had seen Luna, Li said she didn’t, but, “My son did. Your nephew. Luna’s father!” Poppy covered her mouth in shock, and tears started to form in her eyes. “I always knew you had no morals but to take advantage of my 18-year-old son?” Li exclaimed.

Poppy scrambled to explain that Finn wanted to be with her as much as she did. She further tried to say that what happened between them was, "a beautiful thing." But Li grew angrier by the second. She couldn't understand Poppy's rationalization of what happened, and called her actions "disgusting" and "reprehensible." She also stated firmly that Poppy wasn't going to get away with it.

Poppy tried to calm Li down, telling her to take a seat. But Li refused to stop. She asked Poppy how she could look at herself in the mirror because of her depraved and twisted behavior. Poppy tried to explain that she really didn't know who the father was and that just made Li even angrier because she found it disgusting to hear Poppy admit she'd slept with several guys. “I’ve always known you had no integrity, but this?” Lee said.

Li went into the story about how she thought Poppy slept with her ex-husband Jack all those years ago. When she finally did a paternity test and proved that Jack wasn't Luna's father, she felt guilty for being rotten to him and Poppy all through the years. However, Li said that Poppy sleeping with her nephew was a thousand times worse. As the rage seethed within her, Li lost control and grabbed Poppy by the throat. She pushed her sister against the wall and began to strangle her.
