The Bold and the Beautiful's Daily YAPP Recap, August 6: A Bridge over troubled water

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge swam at lightning speed through the harbor to Nick’s boat, where Nick was inexplicably now knocked out, which is odd since he wasn’t yesterday, but okay, he’s out like a light. And Ridge, who couldn’t walk quickly enough to Nick’s boat at the dock, swam like a fish to get to Brooke. At the same time it took Ridge to swim, an emergency boat was summoned and got to the scene, and helped lift Brooke’s unconscious body into the boat. But did the Italian equivalent of EMTs revive her? No, they let Ridge do that, still bearing superhuman strength after his big swim and not out of breath whatsoever. Yes, as Ridge performed CPR in the back, the EMTs thought it would be better to race across the Mediterranean Sea in the speedboat. Miraculously, they hit no waves, so Ridge didn’t have to struggle while pumping Brooke’s chest, and his ego. He calmly gave her mouth-to-mouth while Brooke had flashbacks to that time he tried dying in the northern arm of the Mediterranean, the Adriatic Sea, and they reunited on the beach. Just like magic, destiny took over, and Brooke’s eyes fluttered open as she spat out water. Ridge saved his Logan, told her he loved her, and planted a big ol’ kiss on her salty water-soaked lips, then held her in his arms as they sailed off into the sunset. Literally…which makes us wonder why the emergency boat turned into a sunset cruise. Weren’t they in a hurry to get somewhere, other than the shore that he easily swam from? The two reunited lovebirds gazed at each other and off to the horizon as they planned their future, leaving us to wonder how long it will be before Donna and Katie break the news to Taylor.
