The Bold and the Beautiful's Daily YAPP Recap, June 13: The only thing Brooke is destined for is to repeat herself

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, in case you weren’t aware, Ridge is Brooke’s destiny. And Brooke is Ridge’s destiny. They’re each other’s destiny. Is there anyone at all who doesn’t know this? I can think of one: Fate. Fate is completely unaware that Brooke and Ridge are each other’s destiny. And do you know why? Because every time they’re reunited, they don’t stay together. That’s right, Brooke has married her destiny eight times now — and also divorced him. Nothing says ‘soul mate’ like the corresponding divorce papers. It seems the only thing that Brooke is destined for is to repeat her own mistakes. Mistake #1: Thinking that Ridge is her destiny. Yes, the two drama queens love a good reunion story. There’s angst, forlorn looks, pining, missed opportunities, and don’t forget the miscommunications and misunderstandings. Then…there’s the moment. After moving on with someone else (there’s always someone else), one of them — usually Ridge — remembers. That look, the music, the gown, something that jogs his memory of the nearly 40 years that he and Brooke have done this dance, and he shows up to profess his love, or sometimes just give the look that Brooke “knows” means he's over being with Taylor, and he remembers his love for Brooke. And just like that, they get back together. Except…plot twist! Just as Brooke told us today for the umpteenth time that not only is Ridge her destiny, but it’s NOT foolish to say that, things are about to change. Enter, Nick Marone. While Nick’s not sticking around, and no, it’s not reinventing the wheel to have another man get Brooke’s attention, (especially one of Brooke’s former lovers and an ex-husband of her daughter), if changes the script —literally — of hearing about her 40-year destiny, we say bring it!
