The Bold and the Beautiful's Daily YAPP Recap, June 19: Rinse, repeat, bang head against wall

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

There is a time in all of our lives when we have listened to a friend ad nauseum go on and on about her crush on a guy, and how much she’d like him to leave his girlfriend so she can take her place. For most of us, that was when we were in high school. For others, it’s a patient or client who is paying you for your life advice in therapy sessions. And there’s that moment that, despite all of the hours of advice, either donated or paid for, you realize that this person is just never going to change. That moment happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful. Taylor realized she is surrounded by people who were emotionally stunted in their teens. While the Logan sisters acted giddy that Brooke made a boy jealous, Taylor was realizing that her boyfriend ranting about Brooke’s exes being (also) egomaniacs might be a red flag that he’s not as all in as he claims. Yep, all it took was a reminder that other guys like Brooke (aka she cheated several times), and just like clockwork, Ridge was unable to control the visibility of his jealousy. Forget all the lectures to Brooke and Ridge about how her sister deserves better; just like that, Katie was back on the oooh-it-means-he-likes-you routine to pump up Brooke’s hopes and dreams that her 38-year-old destiny might finally come to fruition. We were so close — Katie even suggested Nick’s timing of coming to fake L.A. was to get her over the hump of accepting Ridge had moved on (again) with Taylor and to want more for herself. But why progress when we can stay in the same spot, wasting time, for an entire lifetime?!
