The Bold and the Beautiful's Daily YAPP Recap, June 27: With this ring, I thee shed

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful today, Nick had the task of being the bearer of bad news to Brooke: Her destiny is otherwise engaged. Like, literally. Brooke was stunned, brokenhearted, and disillusioned when Nick told her that not only did Taylor whip out a ring and catch Ridge off-guard with a surprise proposal at Sheila and Deacon’s outdoor pizza parlour, but Ridge actually accepted. Say it isn’t so! Brooke was confused — she didn’t think Ridge wanted that. And why would she? After all, Ridge had only told her and everyone else multiple times that he was dead serious about being with Taylor and never returning to Brooke. But even if they all dismissed his adamant proclamations, Brooke’s the one who knows him best, right? So if she believed so much that she and her destiny would wind up together because this is the song and dance they always do (well, not really, the singing is done by Nick), then she should have known that she had forgotten a step. Ridge doesn’t just merely bounce from her bed to Taylor’s. That’s just crazy talk. Ridge has to get married, or at least get engaged, first. Brooke shouldn’t have been so blindsided; she should have waited for the ring, the proposal, the inevitable taylor-made…er, tailor-made designed-for-the-bride Forrester special creation of a wedding dress, and then and only then expected to see Ridge back in her arms. Brooke’s Mr. Right Now is standing in front of her, she has least until Ridge’s honeymoon before he’s available, so she should go for a sail with Nick for a while.
