The Bold and the Beautiful's Daily YAPP Recap, May 15: Shhh...it's (not) a secret

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

On today’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, we got another lesson in Communications 101, from the folks in fake L.A., which is apparently a suburb of Oppositeville. You see, if you’re asked to keep a secret, then you tell it. But if it’s something you should share, you sit on it. And if it’s not your business, important, and not even the home of the person you want to talk to, then you eavesdrop. Which is exactly what Carter did today outside of Brooke’s front door. He listened to a private conversation between Hope and Liam — from outside of Brooke’s front door. Now, I’m not going to get into the logistics of him actually being able to hear that conversation from outside the front door of a mega-mansion, across the foyer, and from where they were sitting together on the couch on the far side of the living room. But we have to pretend it was possible, because Carter’s bionic ears heard enough to know he was getting dumped from a relationship he was already dumped from. Meanwhile at the cliff house, Taylor walked in on a private conversation between Steffy and her husband and demanded to know what was wrong, as professional psychiatrists do in fake L.A. So Steffy, who had spent one episode defending her decision to Finn for blabbing Liam’s secret, to then lamenting in the next that she did the wrong thing, glanced at Finn for permission to do it again. Of course, Finn, who thought she had done the wrong thing, changed his mind to appease his wife, and now granted her the permission she wanted with a little nod. So Steffy did it again. One day, someone will actually have a direct conversation with the right person and say what they should. But that day, again, was not today.
