Now that two couples on The Bold and the Beautiful have remarried (Lope and Batie), we would expect to be bombarded with numerous scenes of newlywed bliss from both couples. So, how come we're only seeing those scenes with Bill and Katie?
Lovebirds Bill and Katie on The Bold and the Beautiful

It's ironic that The Bold and the Beautiful's newlyweds Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie (Heather Tom) are acting more like lovebirds than newlyweds, Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle), considering that Lope's wedding was planned and highly anticipated for weeks. Batie's wedding, on the other hand, happened at the last minute after Bill surprised Katie with a proposal after Lope got married.
B&B fans were worried about Bill because for the past few years, he was acting lost and lonely without a woman in his life. He was with Poppy (Romy Park) briefly, but they weren't meant to last. Now that he has "his Katie" back, Batie have been acting like two glorious love birds. Every time we see them in a scene together, they're either kissing, gazing into each other's eyes, or enjoying the romantic view of the L.A. skyline together. Newsflash to Liam and Hope: that's the way newlyweds are supposed to act. We even had an adorable scene about a month ago where Katie sat in Bill's lap at his office desk. These two are so cute together!
Why didn't we see any post-wedding scenes of Liam and Hope kissing and cuddling in their cabin? Why didn't he present her with a wedding gift? It didn't have to be something as grand as a fashion house, which was Bill's gift to Katie. But couldn't Liam give Hope something to demonstrate their renewed love and the significance of their commitment to each other?
Bill and Katie have re-energized each other

Before Katie reunited with Bill on The Bold and the Beautiful, she seemed a little lost herself. She was briefly involved with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), but her heart always belonged to Dollar Bill. Now, it feels like Batie have re-energized each other. He even went to bat for Katie and defended her to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), telling Ridge that her skills aren't appreciated at Forrester Creations. We love watching Bill stick up for the woman he loves.
But while we're seeing sizzle between Bill and Katie, we're seeing fizzle between Liam and Hope. Where has Liam been since the wedding? We haven't seen him with Hope. We haven't even seen him at Spencer Publications. Even when Lope were engaged, we barely saw them kiss. They feel like a nice, old married couple who have been together for fifty years, but "the thrill is gone" (as blues singer B.B. King used to croon). On top of that, Hope's old flame Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) is back. Does that signal impending doom for the newly married couple who just put their family back together?
Batie has been making up for lost time

The Bold and the Beautiful's Bill and Katie act like an authentic couple in love, and now, they are making up for all the years they were apart. They seem like they've truly missed each other. When Bill is in Katie's arms, he looks like he's thinking, "Brooke who? Steffy who? Poppy who?" It feels as though all those years apart have melted away. We hope Bill doesn't do anything to mess up this beautiful reunion, like he did during the first Batie marriage, when he slept with Katie's own sister, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Be good this time, Bill!
We know Liam and Hope have a history and they love each other, too. But now that Thomas is back and planning to work with her again on Hope For the Future, will Hope become distracted with memories of their relationship -- and all before Lope has even gotten a chance to go on a honeymoon?
By the way, does Liam even know his father remarried Katie? He left Bill's house with Hope right after they got married, before Bill popped the question. Isn't Liam going to be disappointed that he didn't get to be a guest at his own father's wedding? After all the times Bill told Liam how much he admires him and is proud of him, it would have been nice if Bill had gotten married with both Liam and Will (Crew Morrow) present. Or better yet, Bill could have asked his lawyer pal Justin (Aaron D. Spears) to officiate the wedding. That way, Bill would have given us two surprises: the spontaneous wedding and Justin's appearance, as we haven't seen him on the B&B canvas in a while, and it would have been a treat to see him again.
