The Daily Y.A.P.P. for The Bold and the Beautiful, April 18: Dr. Finn, (step) Dad of the Year

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, the same people who believed that not having a father turns someone into a mass murderer were perfectly fine with breaking a little girl's heart and giving her abandonment issues all in one swoop. Knowing that Liam was in the hospital, Steffy and Finn let Kelly get her hopes way up that her dad was going to be able to make it to her Daddy-Daughter Dance, and she got her pretty dress on, hair done, and bounced in asking if her dad was there yet. He was only a few days late already, what’s a few more hours? Well, everything, apparently. Finn could have offered at any point to take Kelly to the dance instead, but he didn’t mention it, or even think of it, and told her he was going to the hospital to check in on a “special” patient. But he didn’t. Instead, he went to his office, where Grace and Bridget came rushing in to tell him that Liam checked himself out of Hotel California. “What? But he’s not scheduled to be discharged yet!” Finn exclaimed. If he knew that, why was Kelly watching anxiously down the driveway in her dancing shoes, waiting on her daddy? But in rushed Liam and cue the slow motion so that Steffy can look at him like he’s a hero instead of scolding him for the moronic move of ripping out his cords to the machines that were trying to keep him alive. Oh, but wait, it’s too late, the dance is over, he took too long to get there. Sure, Liam didn’t want anyone to know he was in the hospital, but that was going a little too far with the secret. Not that Finn isn’t capable of abrupt news. He gave Steffy some devastating info via text moments later.
