"This makes no sense": B&B fans question Luna's prison escape

Throughout last week's episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful, it became evident that Luna's ticket to freedom would come in the form of a laundry cart. This is one show that lives for exposition and handing every detail of the plot on a silver platter, so the laundry cart absolutely meant something. Once the cart rolled past Luna's prison cell on multiple occasions, it was a no-brainer that it would be the method of her escape. However, that doesn't change the complete lunacy of the storyline.

It is beginning to feel like it's an impossible ask for Luna to face any semblance of consequences for her actions. First, she was pardoned due to Bill's enormous ego at the time. The pardon paved the way for Luna to eventually go on a crime spree that resulted in the shootings of Liam and Sheila, and yet another instance of Steffy being kidnapped. Once Luna was shot in the midst of that incident, her grandmother, Li, faked her death, which gave her the opportunity to wreak more havoc, this time sexually assaulting Will Spencer and becoming pregnant with his child.

After the paternity results confirmed that Will was indeed the father, Electra phoned the police and had Luna hauled off to prison. Once Luna became under the impression that Will and Electra had moved in together, she was determined to escape the confines of her cell, opting for a laundry cart as the means of transport. Viewers were left perplexed and confused by the logistics of her prison departure, questioning the writers' ability and the overall wackiness of the story.

"This makes no sense. Did the lady open the gate and leave luna alone to go do her own laundry? Wouldn't she have walked with her and kept an eye on her? #boldandbeautiful," one viewer wondered.

"Ok So Luna is gonna escape consequences/jail yet again but this time it’ll be in the laundry???," a fan asked.

"This Luna story is WHACK!!!! Really a laundry bin? She has issues BIG issues. #BoldandBeautiful," one viewer tweeted.

"Okay but seriously, am I the only one who saw that laundry cart and IMMEDIATELY knew what Luna was planning?! The show basically handed us her escape plan on a silver platter! And now that she's seen Will and Electra playing house in the beach house (where she literally MURDERED people before), there's NO WAY this ends well for Electra! Do you think Luna's going to kill her? Frame Will? Take them both hostage?! I need to know what y'all think because this storyline has me STRESSED!," a fan ranted.

"So prison guard Trowell just stood there and watched Luna climb into the laundry cart? BoldandBeautiful," a viewer said.

"Nice going officer you allow Luna to do laundry just for her to escape #BoldandBeautiful," one fan sarcastically remarked.

"Come on writers. If Luna hides in the laundry cart, she ends up in the prison laundry room; not outside. And guards don’t push the carts, that’s an inmate’s job. #BoldandBeautiful," a viewer informed.

"Okay, I don't get the mechanics of how she got in the laundry cart. The guard opened the door to get her laundry then just let her roam around free???? #TheBoldandTheBeautiful," said one puzzled fan.

"Even talking to her deluded self half the time in prison, Lisa as Luna brings the entertainment and the chuckles as she escapes in the laundry cart! Brava Lisa!," wrote a passionate viewer.

"So how the hell did Luna get into that laundry cart?? They just skip to the outside and she pops out of the laundry cart? Like how in the world did she get in there without the guard seeing her," a viewer questioned.

"Watched #BoldandBeautiful yesterday. The scene where Luna is in the laundry cart after giving laundry to the guard is creative but lacks explanation of how she got in without the guard noticing. Creative bullshit writing I see," wrote a disgruntled fan.

Now that Luna (Lisa Yamada) is out of prison and officially on the loose, her next stop is undoubtedly the beach house. She saw Will's (Crew Morrow) social media post, which made it seem as if he and Electra (Laneya Grace) had taken the next step in their relationship and moved in together. The image crushed Luina's ongoing delusion that she and the father of her baby would somehow end up together in some fairytale romance. While this couldn't be further from the truth, Luna is blinded by her beliefs and ready to go to extremes to secure "her" man.

During the end credits preview for this week's episode, it was confirmed that Luna is indeed on the run from authorities and locking in Will and Electra as her targets. The search brings everyone out of the woodwork to try to locate her whereabouts, including Li (Naomi Matsuda), Poppy (Romy Park), and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). With several family members searching for her, and the police locking down the entire area, Luna's running out of options. While it appears as if she may suffer some sort of accident involving the baby, given the direction the show tends to go in, it's unlikely she'll face any true justice.

Luna's storyline jumped the shark a long time ago, and viewers have stopped trying to make sense of the plot, seemingly accepting that nothing will ever make sense. As long as Luna remains in the picture, several fan favorite characters will remain entangled in the ridiculousness of everything that comes alongside her.
