Brief Character History

Bonnie Roberts was a waitress in Starlight, Texas. Friends of hers had kidnapped Karen Spencer, daughter of publishing magnate Bill Spencer, but Bonnie decided Karen would be better off with her and raised Karen as Faith Roberts, putting her to work in the diner in which she was employed. One day, customer Blake Hayes noted how much "Faith" looked like Caroline Spencer, Karen's twin sister -- Blake was looking to come between his ex-wife, Taylor Hayes, and Ridge Forrester, who had been married to Caroline until she died of leukemia; Blake wanted to pass Karen off as Caroline to entice Ridge into leaving Taylor. Bonnie told Blake about the kidnapping and faced the wrath of the disillusioned Karen, who felt her entire life had been a lie. Bonnie allowed Blake to take Karen back to Los Angeles; it is assumed Bonnie still lives in Starlight.
