The past year or so on The Bold and the Beautiful, we've seen a softer side to Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). She's not the murderer she used to be on B&B and The Young and the Restless, where her character was introduced in 1990. Since she married Deacon (Sean Kanan), we've witnessed her character growth. Sheila and Deacon are business partners at Il Giardino, and her life with him has been a positive influence on her. It's been refreshing to see a decent side to her character emerge after all the years of havoc she wreaked on both soaps.

But now that Deacon learned Sheila kept it a secret that her murderous granddaughter Luna (Lisa Yamada) is still alive, he is furious with her. If he decides to divorce her, will she go back to her violent ways?

Deacon walked out on Sheila, on The Bold and the Beautiful

A couple of weeks ago on The Bold and the Beautiful, Deacon's world was turned upside down when he discovered that Sheila kept a huge secret from him: that Luna was still alive and Li (Naomi Matsuda) nursed her back to health in her home. Yes, Deacon knows family is important to Sheila, so of course, she always had a soft spot for Luna, her granddaughter. But Deacon made it clear to his wife that he would not tolerate secrets. He has told her repeatedly how heartbroken and angry he feels that Luna killed his friends, Tom (Clint Howard) and Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers).

Deacon stormed out of Il Giardino and visited Taylor (Rebecca Budig) at her office, hoping she could give him her professional psychiatric perspective regarding his problem, because he fears Sheila is spiraling and returning to her old ways. Can he ever trust her again?

A desperate Sheila confided in Li

It finally hit Sheila that she had screwed up the strong, stable marriage she had. She didn't know where else to turn, so she confided in Li (who seems to be her "friend" ever since this crazy keep-Luna-alive story began). Of course, we're all perplexed about that, since Li used to hate Sheila for being a murderer who had an affair with her husband, Jack (Ted King), many years ago.

Besides, why did Sheila think Li could help fix her marital problems? Li barely even knows Deacon, and her primary focus has been her niece/granddaughter Luna and her obsession with motivating Luna to turn her life around.

Will Deke become Sheila's next victim if she turns violent again?

When Deacon's son, Deke (Harrison Cone), visited him at Il Giardino, he broke the bad news to Deacon that Luna is alive. After Sheila arrived and greeted Deke, he left the restaurant. Then, he eavesdropped for a few minutes on Deacon and Sheila's conversation and overheard Deacon ask her if she knew Luna was alive. He heard how alarmed his dad was as Deacon suddenly realized the awful secret Sheila kept from him.

If Deacon decides to divorce Sheila, he will probably sever his business ties with her also. If she loses him and her job at Il Giardino, her happy life will be over. Deacon was always the only person who believed she was capable of change. Sheila once said all she ever wanted in life was to be loved. If she loses Deacon's love and the life they built together, will her inner demons take over again? Will she take her heartbreak out on the residents of L.A. by going on a murder spree? Let's hope Deke stays out of her way and doesn't say, "You were never good enough for my dad," otherwise, he could very well become the first person Sheila targets.

Many fans of The Bold and the Beautiful do not want Sheila to revert to her evil ways. We've seen enough killing, baby-switching, kidnapping, and all her other crimes to last us a lifetime. We would prefer she continue down the decent path (or the somewhat gray path) she has been on lately. We already have Luna committing murders, rapes, druggings, framings, and kidnappings. We don't need two murdering lunatics on a half-hour soap. So if Deacon divorces Sheila, we hope she doesn't experience a total psychotic break from her better self.
