Bo Brady and Hope are one of the most beloved supercouples of Days of Our Lives. Just like any other iconic couple of daily soaps, the duo has suffered numerous challenges that resulted in their separation, be it due to death or some other reason. One of these reasons was when Bo’s mother, Caroline, began to show signs of Alzheimer’s.

One of the turning points of Bo and Hope’s lives in Days of Our Lives was this situation where Bo had to leave Salem with his mother to treat her disease. While Caroline was back after her treatment, Bo didn’t come right away. He did come back to Salem after a while, but did not stay and had to go away again due to his work with the ISA. Since there was no news of Bo’s return, Hope was left heartbroken, but when he came back, their problems increased tenfold in Days of Our Lives. Somehow, Hope, with or without Bo, sailed through these situations.

7) Their farewell (November 2015)

Hope’s life wasn’t as good as it was with Bo in Days of Our Lives after he went to work with ISA and never returned. She thought he might have died and began a relationship with Aiden, which proved to be fatal for her. She was so smitten by him that they got married, but his real face came through when he tried to kill her. It was revealed that Aiden was a lookalike of the real Aiden and was sent by Stefano to kill Hope.

But our hero came at the right moment and saved his Hope. It was a shock and surprise for Hope as she saw him right in front of her eyes. It was revealed that Bo was captured and tortured in a Mexican prison, which kept him away from Hope. However, this reunion was also a short one, as Bo died in Hope’s arms due to an incurable brain tumor, leaving Hope alone again.

6) Hope begins her revenge plot against Stefano (2015-2016)

Just like every other problem in their lives, Hope was convinced Stefano had something to do with Bo’s imprisonment and death in Days of Our Lives and wanted to take revenge, even after Bo’s spirit asked her not to.

She found out that Bo’s tumor was treatable only if he could procure medical help at the right time. But since he was held captive, that was impossible, sending her into an unfathomable rage against Stefano, whom she blamed for being responsible for Bo’s days in captivity and torture, due to which he couldn’t get the treatment at the right time. She confronted the villain in her and Bo’s story.

5) Hope Kills Stefano (January 2016)

Hope was determined not to let Stefano get away with his crimes in Days of Our Lives. Stefano taunted her, making her angrier, as losing Bo because of him wasn’t the only crime he committed. He swapped their son when he was born, he kidnapped the Brady twins, and he also brainwashed her into thinking she was Princess Gina. There was too much baggage, and this time Hope didn’t spare him.

She shot him three times in his chest from a close range, killing him and making Salem Stefano-free, as she was not the only character who suffered from Stefano’s scheming and plotting.

4) Hope and Rafe’s relationship (2015-2017)

After Stefano’s death, life for the Salem residents looked hopeful in Days of Our Lives, which also resulted in Hope moving on, with Bo’s permission, of course, to live a good life with Rafe, her work partner. Rafe began developing feelings for Hope after Bo’s death. He even helped her in hiding Stefano’s body and then framing Andre DiMera for the murder.

With Bo and their son accepting this new relationship of Hope, she moved on with Rafe, but was met with another bump when the real Aiden came back. Aiden tried to win Hope back by confessing that Stefano was blackmailing him because he threatened to harm his son, Chase, and also because he owed money to Andre. However, he couldn’t kill Hope and was replaced by a look-alike to end the mission. Since Hope still had feelings for Aiden, she went back to him, leaving Rafe, who began investigating Aiden.

It was revealed that Aiden was actually trying to kill Hope, and she again left him and went back to Rafe, who then proposed to her in July 2017, which Hope accepted, ready for a new journey in her life.

3) Hope, with the help of others got a drug to bring Bo back from a coma (May-June 2025)

In 2022, it was revealed that Bo actually didn’t die from a brain tumor kept in a cryogenic pod by Megan. He came back to Hope in 2023 with not remembering everything about her, while she tried her best to bring his memory back. He was still fighting with Dr. Rolf’s brainwashing of him and convincing him to kill Hope, which he tried to do, but was shot by his son, Shawn, right after he remembered who he was and what Hope meant to him. Since then, he had been in a coma until recently.

After it was revealed that Bo had developed an infection due to his ventilator and sepsis might kill him this time, in Days of Our Lives. Kayla told them about Dr. Russell’s experimental drug to fight sepsis, but it hasn’t been tested on humans yet. Nevertheless, Hope and their friends joined hands to bring that drug to help save Bo and successfully retrieved the drug and saved Bo, who also came out of a coma due to the drug.

2) Supported a grieving Marlena (June 2025)

John died due to his injuries that he sustained while retrieving the drug to save Bo from Russell’s laboratory, which exploded in the Days of Our Lives episode of June 2, 2025. Marlena was left grieving the death of her husband but was supported by her friends, including Bo and Hope.

Hope didn’t leave her friend alone in her grief and supported her in any way she could, as she knows and has experienced this grief several times.

Bo and Hope might have gotten married several times in Days of Our Lives, but each of the weddings was meaningful and depicted the milestones and difficulties that they overcame. This was no different. As they reminisced about Alice and Tom and Julie and Doug in the Horton home, they also got married again in their living room.

Bo asks her to marry him as he will always respect and cherish her, and they both get married, with Bo putting Hope’s mother’s wedding ring on her finger. After all the struggles they had faced together in Salem and their time apart from each other, they finally said goodbye to the city and moved on with their lives to somewhere else.
