Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

Longtime Days of our Lives fans will remember that Salem found its answer to Port Charles' WSB with the ISA way back in 1982 when Roman Brady arrived on the scene. At first, he was just your average Salem PD detective assigned to protect talk radio psychiatrist Dr. Marlena Evans from the Salem Strangler (aka Jake Kositchek). Then, we saw him enter a secret room filled with gadgets and computers, and the ISA was born. Roman was not just a cop, but an ISA agent tasked with taking down the DiMeras. Two years later, we met his old buddy Shane Donovan, another ISA agent tasked with the same mission. More than 40 years later, Shane is still at it, trying to bring down the DiMeras, so we had to laugh today when she told Cat that was exactly what he wanted her help with. We remembered those days long ago when the 1980s ISA was all consumed with bringing down Stefano and his many children. There are even more children now, when DiMera Enterprises has actually seemed like a legit enterprise for the last few years. Apparently, they are still a criminal organization on the ISA's radar four decades later. It all comes full circle, doesn't it? Shane is an agent, Roman is running a bar, and Marlena's assistant is now the one who is going to get the goods on DiMera, but will it be for good?
