Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives

It's been a week like no other on Days of our Lives as we bid farewell to an old friend, while getting to know a new one again. John Black's funeral honored the character and the actor who played him in the most poignant and incredible ways, but the intimate wake at The Brady Pub and scenes in the Horton living room were just the icing on the cake. DAYS filled us with loads and loads of Salem flashbacks that brought us back to the 1980s and 1990s with ease. Not only did we re-live John and Marlena moments, but we also got to see old Bo and Hope and Jack and Jennifer moments we'll never forget. All six original actors were right there with us today, even Drake Hogestyn, who filled the screen with photos and video memories that will last forever. We even saw Shane remember the night that Andrew was born. At the time, he didn't even know Andrew was his son and thought that Victor Kiriakis was the dad. For those of us who were watching DAYS 40 years ago, it was as if these scenes took place just yesterday. That is what soaps do. They often make us feel like no time has passed, just like when we look back at our real lives. They are with us every day for decades on end, with the same characters, the same actors, and always feel like home.
