Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives

Xander truly seems to think he did no wrong when he beat Philip to within an inch of his life. It doesn't matter if he was arrested for it, and everyone knows what he did. He still lives in a world of denial and can't imagine why he's once again being treated like the town pariah. When he told Sarah he wanted joint custody of Victoria, he acted surprised when Sarah laughed in his face. He truly seems to see nothing wrong with what he did, which frankly feels like years of character growth lost. Not only does Xander refuse to admit to himself that what he did was wrong, but he is about to make things worse. He entered Philip's hospital room with a menacing look on his face, and we know he is about to do a lot more damage — or at least attempt to do more damage. Maybe Xander needs to realize he is his own worst enemy, and that's why half the town no longer likes him. All the work he did to become respectable has gone out the window, and it's by his own doing. Maybe Xander needs to truly fall to realize what he has done and try to atone for these mistakes. That would make for a good soap opera. Xander walking around like he is still king of a world that does not want him is not.
