Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives
While we are in no way excusing Xander's violent tendencies and what he did to Philip on Days of our Lives, Sarah needs to look Xander in the face and admit to him that she played a part in the destruction of their marriage. She was able to admit to Stephanie that her lies broke her marriage — or at least the fact that her lies had been exposed, but she still can't admit it to Xander. Sarah knew she was taking a risk when she decided to keep the truth from her husband about the failed letter, but the truth coming out was not the problem. The initial secret was. When Xander learned the truth about Philip, violence wasn't on his mind. He only turned violent when he learned what Sarah had done. While beating Philip was not the answer either, all of this could have been avoided if Sarah had told the truth as soon as she learned it. When she told Stephanie that it was the secret that ruined things and not what she only suspects Xander did, it was clear that Sarah is well aware that what she did was wrong. Still, she just won't say it to Xander's face. At this point, Xander and Sarah have become too toxic, so it may be time for DAYS to take a true break from this pairing until both of them learn how to take responsibility for their actions.
