Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives

Days of our Lives is all about history this week, delivering another lesson on June 5th, with a newer character and an older one. First, we sometimes forget that Leo once believed he was John's son and even wanted to be John's son. When he expressed this with our old pal Jack Deveraux, it made sense why Leo wanted to make sure the obituary he'd written for John was just right. But we also got a Spectator history lesson, which was just what we needed. Jack wasn't always the fine, upstanding journalist he is now. Instead, he was a con and a scoundrel just like Leo was. He even blackmailed Leo's mother into selling him the paper all those years ago. We now know that Diana Colville is no longer the innocent victim that she was back then, so it was nice to see Leo acknowledge this. The scenes between Leo and Jack really hit the spot because they played on the recent history between the two men, as well as their past histories. We even got a little sign of what may be to come when Leo and Jack both acknowledged that they hadn't heard from Gwen lately. She is the one person they have in common, but they rarely ever mention her. The fact that we heard her name means that Jack's retconned older daughter may be back soon. Then, there might be real trouble.
