Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, June 6: Chad had a lot of explaining to do

Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

Sometimes you have to answer to your mother-in-law, and that's what Chad had to do on Days of our Lives when Jennifer learned that he had gone on a skydiving date with Cat Greene of all people. And sometimes you deserve to be chewed out by your mother-in-law. While we have gotten to know quirky Cat and Chad has softened toward his new friend, Jennifer does not know her, and still sees her as the woman who impersonated her dead daughter, which she should. As Jennifer tells Jack, it's different for a mother. What Cat did to her was beyond the pale in Jennifer's eyes, and she never wants to have a reason to forgive Cat's actions. Chad can like the real woman before him now and not the imposter, but Jennifer never has to, and that's okay. Chad was sheepish when Jennifer called him out, and quickly put his foot in his mouth when he apologized for bringing Cat to the Horton house. He didn't know Jennifer would be there. Jennifer immediately pointed out that it wasn't what Chad should be apologizing for. He should have felt sorry for being with Cat, to begin with. In Jennifer's eyes, there was no excuse for being anywhere near this woman. We are glad DAYS still didn't ignore this beat and conflict when Jack and Jennifer returned to Salem for John's funeral. Will Jennifer get Chad to see her point of view?
