Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

It was a small moment during an emotional episode, but Days of our Lives managed to move the story before John Black's funeral in a very subtle way. Cat walked past Shane Donovan and quietly whispered, "Hello, Director," as she moved. Shane turned around and kept his cool, but he had an all-knowing look on his face. This leaves us wondering — is Cat an ISA agent? Cat would have no way of knowing Shane, and especially knowing he was the ISA director, unless she was somehow involved with the ISA. We don't know much about Cat except that she is Caterina's daughter, studied art in college, and she likes baseball and skydiving. We know she is quirky, but could that flighty attitude all be a cover? Why would Clyde have even chosen her to impersonate Abigail if there wasn't something more to her past than what we already know? With Billy Flynn leaving DAYS, the show has to come up with a new direction for the character. Could making her an ISA agent be the new direction the soap has come up with? That revelation could certainly add more layers to the character and give her something to do aside from walking around Salem apologizing to people for past actions and acting awkward whenever Chad appears. Cat as an ISA agent seems like it would work, and we look forward to seeing where this story leads...
