Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, November 5: Does EJ forget where he was?

Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

EJ DiMera uttered a few very strange lines while in Belle's office. He was tickled pink that his words with Amy Choi may have resulted in Johnny and Chanel being able to adopt their little boy. However, he told them that he ran into Amy in Horton Town Square, not that they had the conversation in his house. We see no reason for EJ to lie about such an inconsequential thing, but it was such a glaring error in the script that it has to be mentioned. The scenes just took place a few short days ago, so it's hard for fans to forget, especially since they were such emotional moments for EJ and seemed to have the same effect on Amy. Maybe EJ was lying, but why? What is the difference if he put in a good word for Johnny and Chanel in the town square or in the DiMera mansion? Is it because it was a planned meeting? If so, so what? EJ was trying to do something nice, so all's well that ends well, right? It just seems like such an odd thing to lie about. In the end, that weird line mainly seems like a hiccup in script continuity nobody caught until now. That's what happens when so many episodes of taped out of order nearly a year before they air.
