Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, October 17: Everyone needs to stop blaming Johnny

Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

We admit that Days of our Lives' Johnny sure did screw up over the past year, but his biggest screw up was believing that Chanel was sleeping with Alex, which led him to almost sleep with Joy Wesley. And while he did back out of an adoption Chanel wanted, he also had every right to do that. He had just learned that his father had raped his mother, which led to his conception, and he needed to absorb that before making such a commitment. But Sophia and her mother seem to think that Johnny is to blame for all their problems. Sophia tried to take revenge by making sure that Johnny and Chanel couldn't adopt Tesoro, and now Amy walloped Johnny across the face. It's clear that Amy also blames Johnny for Sophia's current predicament. But maybe, just maybe, the fault lies with Sophia, for LYING. That's all Sophia has done for close to a year. She lied about the father of her baby. She left the baby at a firehouse. She lied about where she gave birth and when. She lied about the gender of her child. She lied about Johnny and Holly having an inappropriate relationship. It's what Sophia does. Laying the blame on Johnny for this mess is ridiculous. Maybe Amy Choi should lay some of the blame at her daughter's feet, if she can ever find her (somewhere in The Brady Pub). Then, maybe she can get her the mental health help she needs.
