Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, October 24: Amy Choi learned absolutely nothing

Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

Silly us. We actually felt bad for Amy this week and thought she'd had a reckoning when she watched her daughter have a mental breakdown before her eyes while begging Amy to see who she was as a human being and not just a possession. Somehow, Sarah managed to convince this rigid woman that Sophia would be better off receiving inpatient mental health help than she would seeing a therapist once a week while in a dissociative state. When she sat by Sophia's side and acted like a mother instead of a warden, we thought something had finally broken through, but nope. Her encounter with Leo and Javi in Horton Town Square proved that she is still the same old Amy, as stuck in her ways as ever. Aside from her homophobic remark that she saw absolutely nothing wrong with and her assertion that Tesoro should only go to a family whose religion she approved of, she is doing the same thing Sophia did. She is blaming Johnny and Chanel for her and Sophia's problems. Johnny and Chanel seem to be their scapegoat when their problems started long before Sophia ever wanted to give them her baby to adopt. In fact, they began before Sophia was even pregnant. Maybe Amy should look in the mirror or even hear the words Sophia was saying before she collapsed, before throwing stones out of her own glass house.
