Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

Alex made a point of mentioning that Chad was the only one of Stephanie's Salem exes who didn't realize she wrote One Stormy Night. Philip recognized himself and Jeremy recognized himself, but Chad did not see any scenes that seemed familiar in Stephanie's book. Meanwhile, we learned that she wrote the book while living with Chad and his kids. Was Stephanie that bored and unsatisfied while living with Chad that she had to write a book depicting scenes with past lovers, but not with her current lover? That appears to be what happened, or at least the narrative that fans can now perceive as canon if they want. Why else would Stephanie leave poor Chad out of her book? We can imagine what Chad will think when he learns that two of Stephanie's other exes were featured, yet there was nothing about him. That could be a real ego killer. No wonder Chad and Stephanie's romance felt like it was doomed from the start. There was clearly no exciting spark. Chad couldn't get over his late wife, and Stephanie felt so bored that by the time Everett came to town, Stephanie couldn't wait for some more excitement. We wonder if Alex will make an appearance in Stephanie's One Stormy Night sequel or if he is just as boring and stale as poor Chadwick.
