Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives
We already know that Arianna Horton has a thing for older men, hence her little affair with Doug III this past summer, but at least Doug was just a few years older than her. Now, we see that she has a crush on Theo Carver, but Theo is a lot more than three years older than her. In fact, he was getting ready to graduate high school while Ari was celebrating her second birthday at The Brady Pub. Now, Ari has just graduated from high school, while Theo has spent years in South Africa involved with Claire Brady. That just doesn't work. We know we are supposed to suspend disbelief with ages on soaps, which is why we were supposed to accept Kristen and Brady dating, despite her being his stepmother when he was a toddler. But we hadn't seen Kristen for years, and Brady was a full-fledged adult. We know Ari is just a teenager, as we saw her celebrate her 18th birthday just a few short months ago. It was clear from the scenes in Horton Town Square that we are meant to watch for more scenes between Ari and Theo, as they are now a potential couple to watch. But, it just doesn't work, and that is something that Days of our Lives won't be able to rectify due to taping nearly a year in advance.
