Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, October 9: Did Chad really need to break up with Cat?

Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

While we understand why Chad's Abigail side of the family can't stand Cat Greene, should any of them be dictating who Chad can and cannot see or can and cannot date? And that includes his son, Thomas. Chad might want to make Thomas happy, but how does that help the boy at the expense of his father's happiness? People have been forgiven for a lot more in Salem than impersonating an allegedly dead person, and that includes Chad's own father-in-law, Jack. While Chad wanted to make Thomas happy, he could have spent more time reasoning with his son and teaching him the concept of forgiveness. It could be a lesson to Jennifer too, who has forgiven Jack's transgressions too many times to count. And since Chad and Cat were keeping their relationship a secret for weeks, why couldn't they continue doing that? Chad would not have been lying to his son; he just would have been leaving out the truth about an adult relationship that no child should have a say in. However, we assume Chad would have broken things off with Cat sooner or later when he learns that she has been lying to him again. She is a reluctant ISA agent, and that is part of how she and her family ended up doing Clyde Weston's dirty work. Chad is sick of secrets, and this one could do Cat in.
