Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, September 11: Are we really going there with Holly again?

Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

It was silly enough two years ago when the suddenly-SORAS'd Holly Jonas had a mad crush on the much older Johnny DiMera. But we wrote it off as a teenage thing that would never amount to anything. And it didn't because Holly finally had to face the fact that Johnny only had eyes for Chanel — and Tate only had eyes for her. Within two months, the entire crush story was moot. In fact, Days of our Lives never brought it up again, until today. Suddenly, Holly's long-ago crush on Johnny became fodder for Tate and we could tell that Holly was embarrassed. She even began blushing as she called it a childish crush, but we are not even sure we believed her. Johnny is now teaching the Salem U crowd, and that has to be for a reason, just as Holly signing up for the class has to be for a reason. Johnny and Holly are even set to have some private talks coming up. Now that Holly is a legal adult, does the show want to go there again? Johnny is considering adopting Tate's baby without even knowing that Tesoro is Tate's baby. That fact might also come into play and complicate things. We think DAYS dropped us some hints today, and they are hints that we don't particularly like for a story that probably won't work.
