Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, September 8: Scratch EJ DiMera's new leaf

Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

So, was EJ trying to fool himself or just the people around him when he woke from his coma and announced he was turning over a brand-new leaf? Remember his near-death experience that resulted in a trial that just ended and landed his sister in jail for a crime she didn't commit? Remember how he was going to be a better man without any hidden agendas? Well, so far, we have seen agenda after agenda, including throwing Belle under the bus during Johnny's trial and doctoring a video to put the suspicion on Chanel rather than Johnny. Now, we know that he has been working with Gwen for months in his bid to buy and take over Salem University Hospital. He even plans to open the DiMera free clinic with Gwen's help, but nobody will know what they are really up to. With Gwen on board, whatever they are doing can't be good and just reverts EJ back to form. And we are not complaining. Scoundrel EJ is much more interesting than nice EJ, so this is just the way we want him (but apparently, not the way Belle wants him). So, what are EJ and Gwen really planning? At least this secret surprise partnership explains why Gwen is back in town and EJ allowed her to move back into the mansion without even the hint of a fight.
