Days of our Lives, June 2-6, 2025: John dies, and Salem mourns him as Bo awakens from his coma

Marlena talked to John about their past together as he held her hand. Steve apologized to John, but John said he had no regrets about the drug operation. Marlena told John that the family loved him, and she gave him permission to let go if he wanted to rest. Marlena comforted John as he passed. As Bo dreamed about Salem, Hope, Ciara, and Shawn celebrated the first movement from Bo that they had seen. Bo dreamed he met up with an adult Zack at the pub. Zack told Bo that he was surrounded by loved ones and that it was not Bo’s time to join them in heaven. Hope appeared in the dream and yelled at him to fight. Bo’s vital signs crashed, but then he woke up and called Hope Fancy Face. Julie was ecstatic to learn the news of Bo’s recovery, and she went to deliver the news and lemon bars to Marlena. Marlena told Julie about John’s passing. Belle was horrified to wake up to the news. Steve called Abe and Paulina, and they rushed over to offer emotional support to Marlena. After Kayla broke the news to Roman, they went to the penthouse to deliver John’s effects to Marlena. Kayla told Marlena about Bo’s recovery and that John’s heroic actions had saved Bo’s life. Rachel had a nightmare about John’s death, and Kristen asked Brady to stop by to talk. Brady told Kristen about John, and EJ overheard. When EJ went to the penthouse to check on Belle, an enraged Marlena yelled at him. Belle escorted EJ out and over to the square. Belle told EJ that she did not believe her father would approve of their relationship, and that she needed to end it to honor her father’s memory. Andrew comforted Paul during his grief over his father’s death. Andrew reminded Paul that John had lived and died as a hero. Chanel comforted Johnny. Sydney was injured during transit to Salem, so she and Sami had to return to Italy for surgery. Marlena told John’s father about his death. Kayla called Shawn and told him the news about John. Bo remembered what he had done to Hope, and he apologized. Hope told Bo to let go of the past. Ciara told Bo about her life and her children. Bo told Shawn that he was not to blame for the shooting and that he was proud of him. Bo learned about Doug and Victor’s deaths and was devastated. While Bo was resting down the hallway, Shawn broke the news to Hope about John’s death. Hope broke down in sobs. Marlena asked Johnny to find some peace for EJ, but Johnny said he wanted to focus on honoring John instead. Paul and Andrew decided to postpone their wedding, but Marlena insisted they honor John and marry while they were in town. Eric agreed to officiate. Anna returned home from Noah’s graduation, and she comforted Carrie and Marlena. Leo encouraged Chad to cancel his skydiving date with Cat. Cat sensed Chad’s skittishness, and she gave him an out for their date. Chad refused to back out. Jack and Jennifer returned for John’s memorial. Jack reminded Leo that their abusive past did not define them. Jack told Leo that he could change if he wanted to. Jennifer was horrified to learn about Chad’s date with Cat. Though Chad injured his ankle skydiving, he told Cat he had fun with her. Jennifer ordered Cat to leave her house. Chad called to apologize to Cat, but she told him that she would not bother him again. Rafe told Gabi that his work with the FBI would allow him to stay in Salem. When Rafe asked about the memory stick, Gabi guessed that Leo had taken it. Rafe disagreed. Rafe theorized that the shooter had taken the memory stick from the scene of the crime. Doug III panicked when he realized that Holly and Ari knew one another. Someone continued to photograph and follow Holly and Ari. Doug asked Leo for advice on dating, and Leo warned Doug not to keep the two women a secret from one another. Sophia worried about her upcoming birth, and she asked Tate not to be in the delivery room. Tate objected, but he agreed to Sophia’s request. While on a tour of the maternity ward, Amy found Stephanie’s manuscript that Kate had accidentally left in the waiting area. Amy read through a chunk of it before she left it at the nurses’ station. Kate vowed to make Xander pay for what he had done to Philip. Though there were no changes in Philip’s status, Kate remained hopeful. Kate promised to protect Philip from Xander.
